Easy to assemble by myself and I'm a small woman.
The box was too heavy for me to lift and carry upstairs. Therefore, I unboxed it and carried the individual wood pieces upstairs. Instructions were easy to read and follow. No pieces were missing so that was really great. I needed assistance attaching the assembled headboard to the metal frame. I purchased this headboard, in white, for my guestroom and it looks terrific. It's very sturdy and solid. The width of the top cap is nice too, wide enough to put things on. I do recommend this headboard
