Review: Some believe these are the best. - I'm not a 'guitarist', nor ever claimed, but I know what good strings are supposed to sound like. And these are it. Granted, the true string player knows more about brilliance, attack, and strength of strings than anyone. But I believe these are the standards for classical guitars. I didn't realize I got the 'tie-on' type rather than 'ball end', but I made do and used my brain to get through the installation. I think I smelled smoke. I had to redo them because they slipped out of the twisty knot I had put them in. Once they were on and not coming loose, the stretching to come was. Each string, methodically, with your fingers in a certain way. I learned from another musician long ago by watching. It took a while for them to hold their note without going loose and changing its tune. But once they settled into where they're living, they sound fresh and new, with a brilliant tone and timbre. Now, I just have to play it more and take advantage of the newness. The price is mild and close to the range of everywhere else.

**Q: Are these ball or tie ends?**
A: Despite a photo of ball ends in the description, they DO NOT have ball ends

**Q: I'm confused... why do "nylon classical guitar strings" say that they're silver-plated???  Are these nylon strings or steel strings??**
A: They are nylon strings, its just the lower strings (E,A,D) are going to be "plated" with silver; all in all they are still nylon strings, not steel.

**Q: can I use this strings on a Jamine S35 guitar?**
A: FYI:  Steel-string guitars are built much heavier than classicals and it takes a steel string (with more tension) to "drive" the top of a SS guitar.   If you use classical strings on it the strings won't begin to "drive" the  top and it will sound puny to say the least.   The dude who recommended trying "silk n' steel" strings is absolutely right.   That is a cross-over string often used on very old parlor guitars; those might give you some decent sound, but probably nothing like what a regular steel string would give you.  Free info from a luthier.

**Q: does it have ballends**
A: No, these strings have plain ends - you have to tie them.
