Webster's New College Dictionary, Third Edition

Ordered this dictionary off of the reviews. So far I am very pleased with the dictionary, and can find most of the words that I am looking for. If you are a Freshmen going into your first year of college, consider this as your one stop shop of words.P.S. The only drawback is that the words are very small. Would be great if the words would be bigger.

I am so glad to find this dictionary, it is my dream English-English dictionary. It is not big for the volume of words in the dictionary. The print is small and yet very clear and pleasing to read. Paper is super thin but the printing from the other side of the paper does not show. Bought this one for my 4th grade daughter who constantly complains not finding weekly spelling word in her elementary school dictionary. So far, have not heard of complain of not finding words.

Yes, the print is small...but it's a dictionary, can you imagine the size it would be if the words were any larger?!? This has been a great tool so far for my 4 kids and their schoolwork. The definitions are up to date and the book itself is easy to navigate. If you are looking for an updated dictionary this is definitely the one for you! Note: If you have vision troubles you may also want to purchase a magnifying glass.

I ordered this to replace my 20-year-old dictionary. Figured it was time, with all the new words and phrases over the years. Very happy with it so far. The print is smaller, but not too small, and that is fine with me. Paper quality seems fine. Dictionary is offered at a good price here, for one that lists at over $25. Recommended.

Every five or so years, I buy a new dictionary. Webster's is my only requirement. Was not disappointed. It's great! I always have it nearby. I like the textile feel of a hardcover book over the keyboard of the internet. I always look up every word I don't know.

This dictionary upgraded my office dictionary which was an old collegiate edition. This dictionary has newer words, particularly related to the internet. However, this dictionary has fewer explanations of the first use or year of a word like the collegiate edition.

a must have

I bought two of these as gifts. The inside flap promotes the new words added, one being "puggle". We looked that up for fun and found the entry and the entry that follows it unreadable due to a printing error. We checked the second dictionary and found it had the same printing error. I returned them both.

Very difficult for reading as alphabets are very very small.Very thin papers and do not get intrest for referring this dictionary. I just thought to place my review here as it may be useful to others.I am not at all using this book.
