Original Himalayan Crystal Salt Inhaler

I am using this product now. I have cystic fibrosis but in a lesser way than most but it does get worse as you age unfortunately, been so since I was 3. I follow the CF program but thru an alternative approach and it seems to be keeping things under control with effort. I find it helpful but I still use my regular inhaler. What I am finding out is that when I drink the himalayan salt twice a day (solay water--concentrated himalayan salt process) that is helping. I drink one teaspoon in the morning and the evening; most people need just one teaspoon for the day, but with CF more salt in the diet is needed. It doesn't taste to bad. That approach is making some differences. I use the himalayan salt inhaler along with my other inhaler. The salt inhaler makes my lungs feel good: it seems to help break up the thick mucus in the lungs if you use it regularly, like 20 minutes or more a day. (Asthma is a lower tract problem visiting the lungs or at least if you read about asthma ascarsis it has a full cycle from the lower tract into the lungs. Not a fun problem. It isn't genetic but a bacterium that is very hard to kill, but with the salt program and probiotics/prebiotics, asthma you can get rid of.) CF is a real physical problem in the DNA: a gene issue. The drinking of the himalayan salt helps to alkalize the body but it also does some unique tricks of its own for what it is. It is a wonderful mineral supplement of many minerals in addition to the salt. Salt kills anything and is a killer of germs and helps with infections of the lungs also. It is good with bronchitis also. The process has to be used daily as the fight to keep the lid on it is always there for most lung issues. CF isn't an easy problem that can be resolved, but controlled. The salt inhaler I really like. It makes my lungs feel good. I can breathe a lot deeper with it I've noticed. I've had mine many months now and progress is good with it. Please note I am not talking about table salt or sea salt of any kind; I am talking about the himalayan salt. It is the only one that has this incredible balancing and healing property to it. I am seeing some wonderful results by drinking it. And believe me lung problems have been so miserable for me that drinking it is nothing. If that solves the problem and gives me my life back and my energy, I can handle it. The salt inhaler is incredible. Highly recommended.

I bought this inhaler because I have been having a flare up of asthma symptoms and I wanted to explore options other than my prescription inhaler. I ordered the salt inhaler on Friday evening and I was very happy when it arrived the next Monday morning, even though I chose the free shipping option! I took it out of the box and immediately used it. Within 10 minutes my symptoms were drastically relieved. I was no longer short of breath, and my breathing was under control. I do think that part of the benefit of the inhaler is that is assists with your breathing pattern. It feels good to inhale through the salt and take a nice deep breath before exhaling. It feels like breathing through a filter. I have had the inhaler for a week now and I have used it every day. I do have to use it multiple times in one day if my breathing is very strained. It helps every time, even if I just use it for a few minutes. It is not as fast or immediately effective as a rescue inhaler, but it is a great alternative.

The product does NOT work. Save your money. I used it every day for over two months. It did not ease my breathing significantly, and the salt irritated my bronchial tubes, causing occasional coughing fits even when not using the pipe. For people like me, this product may actually be more harmful than helpful. I did find, after removing the salt and washing out the pipe, that breathing through the pipe helps my breathing a little when I am having mild asthma symptoms. The size of the pipe and its air flow restriction because of the small air intake holes forces you to open your mouth widely and draw air in long slow deep breaths. This method of breathing for about five or ten minutes actually does open and smooth out my breathing, but you don't need a pipe for that. Just open your mouth widely and breathe slowly and very deeply, exhaling through your nostrils. You will get the same amount of relief as the pipe provides without the coughing and irritated bronchial tubes. This leads me to conclude that most asthma sufferers need to learn how to breathe properly to reduce their symptoms. Using a salt pipe doesn't help and may make you worse.

The original is really the best. I tried cheaper versions, but went back to this one(I leant my original out to a friend to help her sick kids).It’s so cleansing and knocked my respiratory cold out flat!! I also use it for sinus by blocking one nostril and put the mouthpiece up to the other nostril and inhale so it goes all throughout my sinus cavity. This is sturdy & the way the cavity is constructed I can really smell the salt in the air coming through which is what you need like you are near the ocean(salty air). It’s also great to therapeutically cleans the lungs once a week.

I love this salt inhaler! I ordered it after researching natural remedies for breathing problems after exposure to off gassing from chemicals used in the refinishing floors in one of the apartments where I live. I ordered one for my husband and was so pleased I ordered a second one for myself. The second one was not manufactured properly and didn't work at all. There is a separator inside, which is supposed to have holes in it. Mine didn't have the separator. Since it's porcelain, and access to the interior is difficult, I can't drill holes to make it work. And I can't return it. So, it's a crap shoot. I will be ordering mine from a different company.

I'm suffering from another bout of bronchitis and was researching the internet for inhalers when I saw this. I also saw Dr. Oz's video about this same product, so decided to order one for myself and another friend who suffers from chronic respiratory problems. I used it as soon as it arrived, and for the FIRST TIME IN A WEEK, I was able to take a deep breath inhaling on the salt inhaler WITHOUT COUGHING!!! Usually a deep breath causes a coughing attack, but not with this! I used it for approx. 10 minutes, and I can honestly say, I felt better than I had for awhile. I'm continuing to use it daily and my bronchitis is decreasing. I plan on using it daily once I am over it because I have allergies and take an allergy medication and use Flonase daily.
