Beyond excellent with metal base hulls. Brass hulls get picked up but you have to hit the primer pocket just right.

Got introduced to the shell retriever sticks at a skeet range and that sparked my urge to buy my own for the dove fields. This is an absolute back saver on the dove field and not to mention, the kids love using them and actually want to do the "hard" part of picking up all the shells. The folding, compact design is key here! It comes in it's own mesh bag that I keep on my side-by-side during dove season so that it's not accidentally left behind. If you dove hunt, this is a must!

The Mojo Pick Stick is a quality item that saves my back from constant bending. It makes clearing shells a quick, effortless sweep so I can stay focused on the sport.

I shoot sporting clays and recently changed to a Beretta A400 Cole Special which has a bad habit of throwing empty hulls everywhere. I'm 72 and bending over all the time breaks my back. The pick up stick folds into a compact size and is extremely easy to snap together and those hulls are easily picked up and disposed in the trash can. Couldn't do without it. Two thumbs up.

This pocket pick stick helps out a lot and saves me from bending over. On average it picks up around 20 - 12 gauge shell and 23 - 20 gauge shells. The magnet on the pick stick is pretty strong. I highly recommend when cleaning shells around the house or at gun clubs

This is a nice stick for picking up shotgun hulls. I picked up 13 hulls at once and just ran my hand down the stick and into the bucket. Much nicer than the beat up sticks they had at the range.

I had some reservations but this product worked exactly as advertised. Picked up a good bit of shells, just as much as the standard variant. Handle is foam not plastic as shown in the pictures, what I actually appreciate. Great for fields that don't have sharable magnet sticks. Easily fits in a bag pocket.
