Work exactly as advertised

We needed these seals for three commercial metal doors we had to seal on a job. They were the perfect size and length for three doors. The only problem we had was there were no directions but it looked straight forward. There is thin red plastic tape on the seal where the adhesive is sticky. You cut the seals to length, clean the door, peel back the red plastic and stick seal to door. Well they did not want to stick consistently. We kept having to press the seal to the door and thought it may be from the metal doors being cool. We did add a bit of super glue in spots just to keep the seal attached. When we went back to break down the box, the plastic zip lock bag the seal came in had two little packets, which look like eye glass washing packets. They say Adhesive activator on them. We never noticed these two little packets in the bottom of the deep box or thought they were the moisture absorbing packets some packages come with. It would have been nice to have a tag or paper attached to the seal that says to wipe area with activator first, if that is what that is for. Our mistake and that may have been why they gave us a bit of etra work.

I used it on my she shed doors for winter. They didn’t stick well so I had to staple it on. It kept to cold air out very well so I could still work in my shed this winter

Shape of strip was exactly what I need for my application but the adhesive leaves a lot to be desired. Listing says 3M adhesive but I’ve never seen a 3M product like this. Looks like jelly and doesn't have much holding strength. In spots, the adhesive doesn’t even stay mated to the weather strip let alone the surface on which it’s mounted. Used on windows for truck topper and across the top I have had to reattach several times in the few days since installed. Seems to sag and droop which negates the seal. Would recommend going with a different product unless you want a constant maintenance item to keep it in place.

Hard to find product, great quality and value. Provided the perfect seal for my transom windows.

I tried to install on an interior door between my attached garage and house. I washed the jam and allowed it to dry. When I tried to attach the strip it would not adhere. Maybe I was using this product in the wrong application. However in reading other reviews I noticed the weak adhesive mentioned more than once.

I think you’ve successfully designed an adhesive that won’t even stick to glue. Before you send me the inevitable message back, I’m not interested in packaging this up using five dollars of gas and an hour of my weekend to return it.
