The Ginger People, Chews Apple Spicy, 3 Ounce

Wow! These taste great! I bought them to try before going on a cruise in a couple of months. I usually don't get motion sick on cruise ships, but I do get air sick on the flight to the cruise. We're also going with two other couples, so I wanted to bring something along that could alleviate nausea for them. I frequently use Anti-Nausea Ginger Gum 24 Count for long car rides, but the problem with gum is that you eventually have to spit it out and throw it away. That's not always easy to do (the throwing away part) when you're walking around in another country.I'm not a big fan of candied ginger because I've had some that absolutely burned. I don't know about the just ginger flavor of these candies, but the apple flavor is amazing. Yes, the ginger flavor is very spicy, so if you're sensitive to that kind of sensation, ginger might not be for you, but the apple flavor makes this really tasty!Ginger works really well to alleviate nausea for me. I don't know if it's all in my head, but as long as it works, I don't care how it works.

These are pretty good for something different. I have yet to try as it says on the bag in regards to adding it to hot water to turn it into a ginger drink. I do like to suck on these and the flavor is good. They are very sticky if you try to chew on them so I wouldn't advise it, but that's up to you.All of that said, these are not the candy that I am looking for. Round eight years ago and employee at a place I worked at offered me some candy that has a slightly different shape and texture than this one. I guess I'll have to keep buying and trying to various one but this is pretty good for something different. And let's face it, Ginger is always good for you.

Has a great taste & would definitely by more! However (if by any chance) you have false teeth, retainers or anything like that, I would not recommend. Extremely chewy & stick to your teeth like caramel as an example.

I read a review on another ginger candy that said these apple Gin Gins were very mild in comparison, therefore I thought I'd try these first. My toddler and I both struggle with carsickness and I'm hoping I can give him little pieces of this chewy candy in addition to our wrist bands and dramamine for our upcoming drive to the beach. I tasted one and it is yummy for sure. I think if I keep the pieces small, he can handle these. (Interesting side note about my little fellow: He likes the "medium-ish" salsa at our local Mexican restaurant, so I know he has an adventurous palette.)I also ordered the original Gin Gin chews and they are much spicier than these, although still delicious. The apple certainly helps mask that kick. So if you are sensitive to that zing of ginger, consider giving these a try. That zing is still there, but it is muted in comparison to the original chews.

Bought these for a friend to help with morning sickness. I tried one and ended up ordering myself a bag because they’re soo good!

I get the Original Ginger Chews that this company makes in-store, but thought I'd give these a try for a different taste with these Spicy Apple Ginger Chews. Well, what I received is much more reminiscent of a Jolly Rancher than the other ginger chews this company sells.Chews are supposed to be somewhat soft, have some give when you touch the individually wrapped chews. Not be able to give a good knock knock sound against a wood table or stone countertop because this is basically a hard candy.I'd assume there are storage issues that are causing this problem. I've let Amazon know about it, not sure they'll do anything to address it. But thought I'd let others know. With not being able to get a refund or replacement on this item, just be aware you may be rolling the dice here.The flavor is interesting, definitely milder than the original. Pleasant and probably easier for kids to eat and adults who are sensitive to spice. But also, if using this for nausea, I'd say less ginger and potentially not as effective at helping to ease symptoms.I'm hoping to try this again in the future and get actual chews and not hard candy. I'm going to look locally for it. It could easily be that the flavor, which was good in the hard candy I had, is even better when it is stored properly.

This is a great treat! Not as apple tasting as I'd like , but this company does Ginger proud.
