Earthgro 72779180 Potting Soil, 10-Quart

was a great add on.I plan to use it as soon as the lousy Chicago weather will permit me to do some outdoor planting

I used this in my flower beds, so even if it did have some larger chunks in it, it didn't matter. Not sure if I would use it in my large flower pots, I like a smaller finer soil.

Mine was dry. It seems a good dark soil but I am concerned that it has little in the way of nutrients in the soil because of how dry it is. I will not buy this one again.

We got this via UPS. We brought it inside. We noticed within 3 days something was moving inside it. We took it outside and opened the bag (thankfully it was winter!) Millions of little tiny flies were swarming out of it, and it looked like the dirt was also moving, which meant even more were hatching! This was a nightmare!

A bit pricey for dirt, but absolutely appropriate for my needs.

Good stuff so far

Buy something else. This soil is literally garbage. I found dozens of pieces of plastic trash as I sifted through it. It’s also full of rocks. Worst of all, the soil itself is not healthy. It’s dense and clay-like and nearly all of my potted plants have died as a result.Honestly, I can’t believe Earthgro gets away with selling this. This company should be sued. It’s like they scooped out a landfill, or a riverbank near a factory, packaged the trash-laden soil, and stuck a price tag on it.

Orange tree seems to like it. I did find it kinda lumpy.
