Gates 22323 Premium Molded Coolant Hose

OD is smaller than factory hose but I was able to make it work using silicone spray. Amazon has the lowest price for Gates products

Worked for my 97 DX Civic

Perfect lower radiator hose for my 97 Civic EX Sedan. Used a bit of water lubricant after cleaning the hose ports. For those hose clamps you can use a pair of extra long needle nose pliers (Harbor Freight $8 / pair), or a pair of hose clamp pliers. I saw those in Amazon for about $20. For this task though, you are OK with the long pliers. Will buy again. Also have bought in the past a timing belt kit from this company, and a/c, alternator and power steering pump belts.

This was a quality hose that fit my 1998 Honda Civic EX Coupe 1.6L manual transmission car on the lower portion of the radiator. I replaced this hose and the upper hose when I replaced my radiator. One suggestion I would give if you are replacing this hose is to replace all of the heater hoses on the back side of the engine as well so you don't have to replace the coolant twice.

The cut hose ends were not straight but still worked fine with no issues. I was still able to get the clamps to fit securely so no leaks so far.
