Will this fit in a SKX007?

Yes, but you'll need to use a different stem and crown. If you go online, look for "Seiko purist stem crown", it should be a whole assembly. I got mine on e(vil)Bay for forty bucks shipped. Works right off the bat, no fiddling around. Otherwise you can use the included stem and add a crown, but may have to fit it by hand to ensure water tightness.

Can the crown position be adjusted to 4 o’clock or no?

You have to swap out the day wheel for one that sits at 4 o clock. Date wheel stays the same. easy swap

will it fit a 42.5 mm case?

Yes. You just need the proper spacer for the case. I’ve installed this in an SNZH57 (42-43mm case) and simply had to take the spacer off the original 7S36 mvmt to put on this new NH36. Same with an SNKK27 (38mm case) - take spacer from 7S26. I’ve also installed in an aftermarket SKX013 (38mm case) and the case was made to take the spacer that this NH36 comes with.
