Does this product reduce the distance that the valves can be from the controller?

I haven't noticed a distance reduction but our valve boxes are only 150 feet from the controller.

How big are the units attached to the wires? I don't have much room inside my controller.

The entire unit comes in a small plastic envelope. When you say controller, if you are referring to the unit on the wall, the wires plug into the controller like the original wires do. Nothing is different than your original setup. If you are talking about the part down at the valves, absolutely no additional room necessary. It works great.

Hooked up to orbit b-hyve, worked for a while, now getting no ac error on controller. 6.5vac on the sprout zone with no volts on other zones??

I have had good luck with some others never worked went back to add a zone.
