No more broken chips in the guac with this THICK and honest no salt corn chip
Love these no salt very thick chips which are made and sold only in the Chicago area. Just received eight well-packaged, fairly priced bags with fresh good expiration dates (3.5 monthts out from purchase). Since salt is a preservative and no salt means a a shorter expiration, these are great. First tasted these at a Whole Foods in downtown Chicago. I don't understand why I can't get them from Whole Foods in New Jersey, but be that as it may, these are well worth the extra moolah.Keep in mind that the no salt taste is not for everyone. I'm on a 1400 mg per day budget for sodium and so these are great, but I also happen to like the no salt taste. Very hard to find foods without salt these days. Love the thick Gardin of Eatin no salt blue chips - these El Ranchero are even thicker. No broken chips in the salsa for me!

Eat these if you want to risk wearing dentures for LIFE
BY FAR the HARDEST, unappetizing tortilla chips I have ever had in my life. I was seriously afraid I would break/chip my teeth chewing on these!! The flavor is also not good. They are like chewing on a bone. Beware!!!

The very best that isn't made at home.
I used to eat these all the time when I lived near Chicago. I can't find them in Minnesota. I bought six bags when I was visiting Ottawa Illinois and it feels like heaven. Thick and crunchy with a great corn taste that seems to be left out of most national brands. I prefer the salted variety which I can't find on Amazon.

Excellent taste
These are excellent chips, these natural chips are unsalted and taste like real roasted corn, are thick and crunchy. Excellent by themselves or with dips.

Will break your teeth on them
These chips are very thick and very hard. The flavor is not that great either.

Best chips for nachos!
We love to use these chips for nachos because they're a bit thicker than most chips and hold up well - they don't turn into a floppy, sloppy mess when you cover them with salsa & cheese and heat them up. We're fortunate to have them in our local Jewel grocery in the Chicago area, but when we're out in the PNW we're stuck with the mostly second-rate chips that are more for dipping and snacking. The "natural" chips (for which I'm writing this review) are also unsalted, so you don't get a salt overload when you combine them with salsas & sauces that already have salt. This also makes them great for breaking up and adding to soups, like the Nacho Chicken Cheese soup that's one of our favorites!
