Star Wars Propaganda: A History of Persuasive Art in the Galaxy Kindle Edition

This is the most unique Star Wars book I have in my collection. This book is solely about propaganda posters from the republic to the first order. The pictures and art make this a real gem. You also get 10 mini posters to frame. This is really only for diehard Star Wars fans. I very much enjoy this book and look back to it often.

Get this book.absolutely in love with it.im a nut for ANY in verse propaganda ,and this fits the bill in every way.great book,written as a historical overview,PLUS,10 free "posters" to frame.the only problem i have is the weird sizes of said posters.(really just large postcards).gonna be hard to frame.this is a welcome addition to my collevtion,and i think it should be on any star wars fans shelf.

This is by far the my most favorite in-universe source book. Everything in the book is worded as if you picked it up off the shelf of a library in the Star Wars universe. There are fictional artists and the events described are completely correct, nor skewed by the author's potential bias for certain films.This book is a MUST for any Star Wars fan, it might turn out to be your favorite too!

Detailed and informative, written from an "in-universe" perspective. Covers the timeline from the Prequel, Original, and Sequel Trilogies. Beautifully presented in a slipcase box with extra prints. Highly recommended for Star Wars and art fans.

Great book. We have collected some Star Wars propaganda artwork over the years and this was great addition to our collection. The book comes in solid sleeve to protect it, and it contains mini posters inside the front and back of the book. The artwork in the book is wonderful. I bought more copies as gifts

Fantastic art and poster designs. My daughter wants to get into design in college. I bought her this book for her birthday to show a style and flair that I think are missing from most things she sees in her age group. She loved it. We spent several hours talking about what made a poster powerful to me or her.

This is a super cool and creative book on Star Wars. Beautifully done! An interesting look at the politics of war in the Star Wars universe. A must for any Star Wars fan.

A truly excellent addition to my bookshelf. This is one of my guests favorites to pull down and flip through. The attention to detail is phenomenal and the art looks fantastic! It's propoganda from the Star Wars universe, what more do you want?

A very interesting book written from an in-universe point-of-view, complete with a forward 'by' a Bith artist, an interesting take on Mas Amedda's PR scandal, the monitoring of chassisplasts (bumper stickers) by COMPOR during the Clone Wars, and a poster featuring Dooku as he's portrayed in the Clone Wars as an example of 'Republic artists exaggerating his patrician features for effect.' LoL.Lucasfilm has a real gem in Pablo Hidalgo; his knowledge is vast and his eye for detail wonderful. His treatment of the Jedi is sympathetic but he doesn't shy away from pointing out where they could have done better about managing their own image, versus having a narrative crafted for them by the likes of Palpatine and their naysayers. Great fodder for meta. I really hope they continue making books like this.Oh, and the posters that come with the book are great!

I loved every second of reading this. I love all things Star Wars but couldn't quite work out what kind of book this was so didn't buy it immediately. I should not have waited. It's like a history of Star Wars written in-universe with the most amazing images from 'propaganda' across the eras. I wasn't sure how this would work on my Kindle on my phone but it was brilliant - by clicking on the images they enlarged so I could see them perfectly. I should have known that anything by Pablo Hidalgo would be a must-have and it really is. Enjoy!!!

As a Star Wars fan, I have to way this book is a must to be in your shelf. Great images and pretty well designed. I strongly recommend it
