This is my first kindle and first smart cover so I cannot compare it to the genuine kindle cover but for half the price I am very impressed. Its a matt slightly textured cover that doesn't look quite as shiny as in the promo photos. It is classic and un assuming. It wakes the kindle when opened (as described) and fits snuggly. The front cover is about 2mm thick and solid. I would definitely buy another when and if this gets worn or I won't a change of look. Highly recommended.

I have just bought this for my 2019 Kindle. It fits on the Kindle very snuggly and looks very good in the black colour.I like that the cover closes magnetically on the front, and wakes the Kindle when opened. The only thing I would say is that I would have preferred if the hinged front part of the cover was held magnetically to the rear of the cover whilst it is in the open position.....if you don't hold it against the back of the Kindle then it just hangs and flaps about. For this reason I would remove half a star.

Great cover. Really good choice of colours. Not bulky at all and a really good price. Nice addition to my reader and flexible enough joint that it folds back behind the reader without adding a load of bulk or stretching. Dropped my reader twice already and no damage. I'm not a fan of cases and usually end up removing them, but I'm pretty sure this one will stay put.

Fantastic case for my 2019 Kindle. Colour is great and shows really well. The fabric has a nice touch to it and the magnets are secure when closing the cover. Definitely a must purchase if you're buying the new 2019 kindle!

Just bought the 2019 front-light Kindle so wanted to protect it when in transit. This is a really nice cover. Cannot fault it as it fitted the device nicely and easily and the cloth outer layer looks smart and nice to the touch. The product does what it's meant to.

It's a decent quality case, does what it's supposed to do... Having used it for a month and a bit, it's holding up well and doesn't look like it'll wear down anytime soon! The Kindle is also will protected inside, however if you have the white Kindle, keep in mind that the outer plastic on the case is black hence it looks a bit odd.

Purchased for my new Kindle Paperwhite as my old cover was not suitable for reuse due to size and buttons/charging point. Not everyone likes a cover on their Kindle but I prefer it to keep it safe and clean.I purchased the mint-colour which is quite easy on the eye, more importantly it allows you to see your Kindle if you put it down somewhere! The cover is of a smooth fabric composition. What I like about it is this cover is the top and bottom edges and corners are made of a rubberised black material, the top open edge is rubberised mint material so any impact of bangs, drops, or just general wear and tear will keep looking good for much longer. My previous Kindle cover was quite thick and made it look twice the size it was, this new cover for my Paperwhite is compact and has a much more streamline look.The front cover holds closed with a magnet and automatically puts your Kindle into sleep mode when not in use and when open brings up the waking up screen. The cover can be folded back flat against the back cover whilst reading. Very easy to hold with one hand.Good purchase, looks smart with a modern and contemporary look.
