I thought this compact pump that actually fits right inside the case of the mini-split was a great idea, even though the price seemed steep. Unfortunately, it sounds like a small jackhammer when it cycles (every minute or two) in a quiet bedroom. I made sure to isolate it from the case with foam padding, but the pump itself is just plain loud. I used a Fujiwara pump in my living room unit and it is inaudible from five feet away. The worst feature of my Sauermann is that it only lasted a year, and quit while we were on vacation, causing significant water damage to our bedroom.
