Silicon Power SSD Mounting Bracket Kit 2.5" to 3.5" Drive Bay (2 Pack)

I bought these to replace old mechanical hard drives in a couple of old computers I want to get rid of but don't want to sell with a mechanical hard drive that my data could possibly be recovered from. These work great and even make the old computers run better because of the increased load/save speeds. I prefer NVME M.2 drives in my new computers, but I also like to add a couple of these SATA SSDs as backup drives.

I replaced SSDs into Imac 27 inch (late 2015 and 2017). SSD mounts into adapter fine, but not long enough to secure into mac. The mounting pins that hold the drive into the chassis also threaded differently. The threading issue can be overcome with brute force, and I had to use zip tie to secure into the chassis.

This is an easy and inexpensive way to adapt 2.5" ( laptop size) hard drives to fit in a 3.5" (desktop size) space. I would recommend these to anyone!

I use this to adapt 2.5 inch drives to fit 3.5 inch slot. Works well.

Upgrading old hdd in a old desktop.. Only 2 holes on this SSD tray line up with the original HP HDD cage.. Sure it holds fine with just 2. Be nice if all 4 lined up.

It is just as discribed, no issues.

This mount is very easy to use and install. You may need to use the screws to mount it to your enclosure instead of the prongs.
