⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’ve been using the AFMAT Electric Pencil Sharpener in my classroom for over 2 years, and it has been extremely reliable. This pencil sharpener has handled hundreds of sharpenings without any issues, and I’m impressed with its performance. Pros: ✔️ Durable & Long-Lasting – After two years of daily use, it still works like new. The motor is strong, and the sharpener never jams. ✔️ Works on All Pencils – It sharpens No. 2 and colored pencils (6.5-8mm), making it versatile for all my classroom needs. ✔️ Quiet & Efficient – It’s quieter than most pencil sharpeners I’ve used, and it sharpens quickly and efficiently. ✔️ Helical Blade – The stronger helical blade provides a nice, sharp point every time, and it’s built to handle heavy use. Cons: ❌ None! – It’s been running smoothly with no problems. Final Verdict: This pencil sharpener is a classroom workhorse. I will try to be as honest as possible because I depend on other people's reviews and feel I want to help the best I can: I looked at many Pencil Sharpeners on Amazon and picked this one because it sounded and seemed more rugged and stronger plus still looking modern enough to fit in on my desk. Once it arrived I was glad I had picked it because it appears well-made. It has weight and feels well-made. It works quickly and sharpens pencils with perfectly centered points. The little rubber feet hold it in place even when pushing the pencil into the sharpener. Only thing I did not appreciate was they had placed a silver sticker on the top of the sharpener warning me to not insert the pencil into the hole crooked. REALLY ? I hate when companies put goofy stickers on products. I purchased this because I liked the sleek totally black look it had. On the good side, I was able to peel the sticker off. It was a metal type that left lots of gooey sticky on the black pencil sharpener. I then took some WD-40 and spray it onto a paper towel and let it drip onto the glue stickiness. In case you are confused, WD-40 has Kerosene in it, which is the best thing ever to dissolve glue residue off items. I was able to clean it up and now you can not tell a sticker was ever placed on it. This works on all stickers. I have even used it to remove sticker residue from products like Record Albums. Just be careful to verify the material will not react to the WD-40 before getting it all over the item. This might be something most people in the world could care less about. Sadly it would've driven me crazy every time I looked at it had I not removed the sticker. I now love the pencil Sharpener and highly recommend it.

This is a good quality sharpener - quick and easy to use. It has the heavy feel of a durable unit -- just like my old sharpener that lasted nearly 30 years in my home office.

Works great for home office - I sharpen a pencil maybe once a week. Its fast, relatively quiet compared to my old sharpener. No issues thus far.

I had a pencil sharpener that was nearly 20 years old. It was a great workhorse. This last year though it started making funny noises and didn’t sharpen very well. Then it just stopped working altogether. So I purchased this one. I was unsure about how good it would work, but was hopefully optimistic. Man oh man was I pleasantly surprised. It worked fantastic. I use colored pencils to design quilt blocks. This requires the pencils be a very sharp point and this pencil sharpener does the job extremely well. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because a pencil tip broke off inside of it and I could not find it. Plus it sounded like it was really struggling to work. I did everything that is recommended before I finally gave up. I’ve only had it for about 2 weeks, using only a few hours in the early morning hours before kids are up and it was giving out. The seller was great and sent me a new one in replacement. If not for that I would have gladly given it 5 stars. I’m hoping it doesn’t do that again. I’ll update later.

THE best pencil sharpener I've had. Though advertised for classroom, I/we use this at home. Heavy, super-efficient, easy to use, takes 1.5 seconds to sharpen a pencil (literally), grips the counter top, and looks sleek and modern, not cheap. I can't say enough. It takes up a bit of space but I have the feeling that it should last. Love it!

This AFMAT pencil sharpener works so well! I have had this product for about two years and has worked flawlessly! This sharpener has a nice amount of weight that it feels high quality but not too heavy that it feels bulky. When the sharpening box gets full it is easy to empty! AFMAT has put overheat protection in this sharpener. I have only experienced it overheating once but that was after sharpening about 70 pencils! The only downside to this sharpener is that there is only one pencil hole size. If you need to sharpen bigger or smaller pencils that is not possible. Overall an very high quality product

I got this sharpener mostly for sharpening my coloured pencils, and it does the job well. It sharpens to a very fine point, and is no more noisy than a manual helical sharpener. It takes a small footprint on the desk, and the rubber feet hold it in place so that it barely shifts position when a pencil is inserted and sharpening occurs. I like the one-handed operation. On the down side, it doesn't actually handle 8mm pencils as stated. Close, but most Derwent pencils are too wide (the last one I measured was 7.94 mm). Other brands like Prismacolor, Polychromos, and just about everything else on the market are OK. When you register with AFMAT after receiving your electric shrpener, they send you a free gift in the mail. In my case, I was lucky enough to get a manual helical pencil sharpener - which does handle my 8mm pencils just fine, and also sharpens to a very fine point. Overall, I'm a very happy camper.
