I wear these with tennis shoes keeps from getting blisters and doesn’t bite around my ankles too hard. They are great.

Been wearing a pair daily, rotating them through the work week with a pair of hiking boots for work. They made it a year before holes started appearing in the heels. Since they're merino wool, I did cold wash and line dry. Wish they'd lasted 2 years (or more) but I do do a lot of walking around at work most days.

I love wearing these socks. I have toe deformities and bad foot pain from bunions and osteo arthritis both screwing up some of my toe joints, so good socks are very important to me, along with Altra Olympus shoes--the best shoes I've found for foot issues like I have. These wool socks let me walk, hike, backpack, and cycle with cleated bike shoes very comfortably. Thick wool is the best for foot comfort, especially when you use your feet a lot. Wool socks also do much better when they get wet from rain, snow, or sweat than other sock materials.They do wear out too fast if you machine wash and dry them. For the next set of six pairs I buy, I'll follow the directions to only hand wash and line dry them to see if they feel like new for longer. These socks are a bargain at their price. Other brands of wool socks cost a lot more, but some wool socks, e.g., Darn Tough, are sometimes thicker and more durable.

Fun Toes are very comfortable and nicely cushioned on the bottom. So comfortable that I've even worn them just for a little warmth relaxing around the house. I bought these however to use with my Keen brand hiking shoes. The ankle height is what I wanted for when I hike in shorts. My hiking shoe is not the high top style so sock height is perfect. I also ordered the shoes a 1/2 size larger than I normally would just so I could use a thicker sock. I think the wool material will be fine even as temperatures rise in spring-summer. I use higher wool socks for colder weather.Pay attention to the size though since they run small compared to other socks with similar size range. I normally wear a sz 9 to 9-1/2 shoe depending upon brand & style. My Keen hikers are sz 10. These 10-13 socks are perfect for me but even with the ability to stretch I think they'd be quite snug for someone wanting the high end of range. Glad I didn't go with the smaller size.

I realize people all have their own opinions, but after reading what others are saying I wonder what socks are they talking about? Can they actually be reviewing the same socks I am wearing? I own a stupid number of merino wool socks. Mostly for winter use in boots, but I was looking for some comfy ankle socks for summer use. Not so much for the insulating properties, but for the water absorption and wicking as your feet have a lot of sweat glands in them. Wet feet are a drag. Being able to wick the sweat away from your feet is key to staying comfortable. This is where cotton socks are worthless, they hold the moisture next to your skin and that sucks. All of my OLD Smart Wool white ankle socks were thin and worn out, and it is next to impossible to find true ankle socks these days. No-show socks are too low, they allow my ankle to rub on my shoes which is very uncomfortable, so I like the slightly taller ankle sock. These socks are even slightly taller than a true ankle sock, but that's OK. The color is light enough that they don't clash with much, so that's fine also. One has to realize these are only $3.80 per pair of socks, and for that amount they are quite a value. Sure, you can find better socks, but at what price? I am amazed at the comfort, the durability is OK so far, some fuzz but again, great value. NO itch or discomfort, zero, so I do not know what others are complaining about. These things are comfy soft, not the very softest but good enough for $3.80 a pair! And get this - I'm wearing them in the dead of summer heat, temps in the 90s every day, complete and total non issue, walking many miles per day. I do wonder how they will hold up after 20-30 washings, I usually wear out my socks simply by them getting so thin as the material slowly goes away over the years, but for $3.80 per pair how many times do you need to wear them to be happy? Ten times is 38 cents per use, you get the idea. I'd love to wear ONLY brand new socks because of how good they feel, so if I get twenty uses out of these that would be 19 cents per use. 30 times is 12.6 cents per use. Seriously? I'll be stoked if I can wear them 30 times! Maybe you have different expectations, but hopefully I provided you with some accurate information to better make a decision with. Cheers!

I HAVE RECEIVED CONFIRMATION ABOUT HE PYJAMAS BUT NO WORD ON THE SOCKS. I RECEIVED BOTH ITEMS IN ....ONE BOX....AND I RETURNED 2 ITEMS IN ONE BOX BUT THERE IS NO CONFIRMATION ABOUT HE SOCKS OR THE REFUND REQUESTED ALTHOUGH THE SOCKS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED BY AMAZON??? Highly recommended! These socks keep my feet dry without overheating them. They are very confortable and are excellent for all workouts. I’ve been using them for 2 weeks without any complaints. I did put them in my dryer and they did shrink a bit but didn’t effect their usability. My shoe size is men 10.5
