This book is a nice, short read for all ages. I would recommend being careful reading this to young children, though: I don't want to spoil it, but it gets slightly violent towards the end.Jordan Taylor writes amazing short stories, perfect for a bedtime story. She has a gift for making these canine reads heartwarming and lovable. Please keep writing them!Overall, this book deserves 5 stars, because it was perfect for me. Miss Taylor did an exceptional job of portraying the German Shepherd Dog breed. I loved it! I would recommend this book for any dog lover, especially if you're a Shepherd enthusiast like me! :)

I enjoyed this story very much. The author captures the character of the German Shepherd hero very well. She portrays what it's like to live with a young, strong-willed working dog who is sweet and playful with his family and relentlessly capable of defending them should the need arise.Oh, I also liked the heroine of the story, the soldier's wife struggling to raise her two young sons alone while her husband is off serving his country. It is a fluidly written portrayal of a military family's life.I will be reading more of this author's stories.

Really enjoyable read. The heroism Night showed was fantastic. The love you get from your animals is the most unconditional love you can have. They love you through good and bad times. They know when you are sad or upset and try to comfort you. I would recommend this story to any reader who loves animals and their stories.

I love German Shepherd dogs, they truly are very instinctual, and their love and devotion for their family is unparalleled. It was great to read a short fictional story about "Night", and his devotion to his family! The author hit all the perfect tones in describing the GS traits. Great short read! Wish there were more short stories about the GS breed and the families they loving protect and serve!

Thanksgiving Night is a short, but great book. I have a German Sheppard, so I love any stories that have them in it.The writer made it seem as if I was right there with the family. It seemed as if they were real. It could have been an article I read in a magazine that was a true story it felt so real to me.Even if you don't like to read stories about dogs, I would highly recommend reading this book. I got a good feeling after reading it.This is the first story I've read by this author, Jordan Taylor. I will be looking for more by this author.

Although this was a short story. It holds your interest and attention. And of course the pup is memorableLeaves you wanting more!

Well such is not the case for Night the german shepherd. He flunked out of doggy school. Never fear though, there is a human daddy that loves him just the same and wants to give him a home. Night has barely been living with the family when daddy has to go into military duty. The family is so sad because this means a long time without dad and they will miss. Thanksgiving is upon the family so they go visit relatives for the holiday and come home later that night. The street lights are out and there is a strange van across the street. Fantastic read, suitable for all ages. Only took 20 minutes to read. True to form of most German Shepherds, they defend you and are totally loyal!
