You can make it as muffins, as a loaf, or as a bundt. You can use a cuisinart or just mix it by hand in a bowl. You absolutely need an oven. There's no getting around that.

any bananas in the mix?

It has fake banana flavor that is very off-putting IMO. You're better off buying Betty Crocker Golden Vanilla cake mix and throwing some walnuts and very ripe bananas in there; that'll give you a much tastier result.
