TierraCast Hypo-Allergenic Niobium Earring Hooks, 2-Pair, Steel Grey

10 years ago I had to give up on even 18K gold and surgical steel earrings and switched to Platinum earrings. I have worn the platinum earrings for most of that time. I was able to wear these for more than 12 hours with no reaction. As someone who breaks out with surgical steel on wrists and chest (my medical alert necklace) I was excited to try these but not positive they would work. My body eats any type of plating off of bracelets and earrings in the past.

I bought these to replace the original wires that came with a pair of heavy earrings that had a very thin hook (allowing the weight of the earring cut into the earhole). Much better with these. No cuts. No bleeding.

I can only wear titanium or niobium in my ears because everything else causes a reaction. I couldn't find pretty allergy-free earrings for a wedding for the life of me so I bought cheap regular drop earrings and swapped out the hooks with these. It worked like a charm! I wore them all night and had no itching or redness. I only wish they were a little shinier to match the drop earrings I used them with.

I've suffered from a metal allergy for over five years, unable to wear any earrings. I tried everything: gold, titanium, surgical steel. Nothing worked. They all left me with hot, itchy, infected ears. But now, thanks to these wires, I can finally wear earrings again!I recently wore them all day with no irritation at all! I will definitely buying more.

I ordered several Niobium earring hooks in different colors and they are all great. I have sensitive ears and have no problems wearing these. They end up saving me money because I can buy cheaper earrings now and swap out the inferior hooks with these. I intend to order more of these in the future.

So happy to find theses earring hooks. They are well made and strong. Niobium is a space-age metal excellent for jewelry. I have worn a niobium bracelet for over 30 years.

Wow!! A type of metal I can actually wear! Really great, I have been making my own earrings with plastic posts but not everything fit. These solve that and I can now wear all the cute earrings!

It is so tough for me to wear any earrings because my ears are soooo sensitive. We're talkin' no sterling, no gold, no department store anything. Now all I do is swap out the original hooks with these bad boys with some pliers and I'm good to go. NO MORE ITCHY EARS! Yay!
