Great for my microphone
In case you're wondering if it works with usb microphones it does. I have an AT2020USB and it works fine! I would say don't touch the cable while recording however because I think it sometimes caused distortion, but when I left it alone the recordings were perfect! I love that I can connect it directly to my MacBook Pro now!

Works great to connect Samson USB mic to new macbook pro
I was using an old USB B-A cable with an adapter for C, and it was working, but when you can get adapters out of the way it is a cleaner setup. So, this cable is very nice looking with the cloth insulation cover, and it almost looks like it is supposed to be a mic cable. I have a similar black and white shock cord on my shock mount that makes the cord look like it came with the kit. Functionally it is plug and play. The mic powers up instantly, and the lag is no more or less than when I run the same mic into my old laptop with the standard device cable. Time will tell about durability, but it's probably going to be fine after all it isn't made by Apple.
