This is a great straw for travel use. As background, because of neck and back problems, I find myself often using straws. My previous experience with steel straws was that they were excellent conductors of both heat and cold, which could be a problem. At home, I use silicon straws, but have yet to find a travel one that isn't messy. This collapsable straw has thus far done very well, with the silicon sleeve on the tip providing both insulation and a better mouth feel than bare metal. It folds up neatly into a sturdy container, so there is no mess to deal with. It is important to thoroughly clean both straw - which is obvious - and the container - which is not - if the straw has to be put away wet.My only caveat is that the picture on Amazon lacks a reference size, so it looks like something you could hang off a key chain. You can hang it, but should be aware that this is more of a small cigar shape than anything else.

The straw itself is fine. Its hard to dry all the way, so it ends up getting a weird odor. Even when I leave it out to dry, it doesn't fully dry. The case squeaks when it opens and close. I like that I can store it in my small purse, but I still prefer just the normal stainless steel straws to this one. I did end up returning it because it was just too much money for having to wash it before I use it each time.

After reading the reviews for this collapsible straw & others, I chose this one because it had the best reviews for its size, convenience, the protective lip cap, & dependability. I always want a straw to drink from whenever & wherever I go, so now I don’t have to ask for one. Another reason I like this straw is because my four year old granddaughter can have a straw that is size appropriate for the cup size of her drink, whether it’s a cup or a small carton. I would definitely recommend this product.

I have had this straw for a week and absolutely love it, I ran it through the dishwasher initially and the included brush makes hand cleaning easy. There is no funny taste or offputting odor, the steel does get cold or warm based on the beverage but not exceedingly so. The first time I used it i did bite the straw out of habit but it was not bad and now I can move the straw up and down with just pursing my lips, it did not take long at all to adjust my habits.I highly recommend this amazing little device, so far it is very well made and super convenient since there is the added keychain travel case. I love it and knowing how much of an impact cutting down straws in the ecosystem will have I am glad to use it. Completely worth the cost and I will buy more for others in my family.

I liked the idea behind it, but I ended up giving it away cause it annoyed me to no end. The case was squeaky when opening and closing and you could feel the metal on metal grating which is like nails on a chalkboard. The straw works fine; was a little shorter than expected. The silicone tip was a nice touch.

I love having this straw. Saving turtles! This product is about 4 inches long or more so it's not that easy to put on a keychain. It comes with a cleaning brush, which is great. The head of the straw takes some getting used to as it's wider than what your mouth is used to when it comes to straws. The silicone is meant to keep people from chipping teeth, so worthwhile, just something to get used to. Id buy this many times more and I may to give it as gifts.

Ordered & have used 5 times in the last month.It had no “flavor” issues and is sturdy & compact.I Leave it n my purse for use at restaurants, etc.Would recommend this product to help reduce the amount of plastic waste

So far this straw is great! It cleans easily with the brush that comes with it. It breaks down so it fits in my small purse or pocket which makes it so easy to travel with.
