World of Harmony Music; Fall / Winter ~ Educational Classical, Holiday, Folk, and World Music Lessons; Beginning to Upper Intermediate Level Song Book for Zither, Lap Harp

The World of Harmony series is ideal as an introduction to music for children. The ease and immediacy of making music by plucking the string above each note on the page, which is slipped under the zither strings, is attractive and encourages children to want to make music. I purchased all four books in this series to date and have thoroughly enjoyed exploring the content. I specially appreciated the range of music presented: gems from classical music - music from different parts of the world - familiar children's songs - Christmas music. Clever rhymes and stories teach about the composers and provide information about many of the fragments of classical music. Words of songs printed on the page enable children to sing along. Each book includes a rhythm lesson to teach the value of notes and a tuning guide for the zither. I have enjoyed getting to know these books and will continue to enjoy them as I introduce them to my grandchildren. I know that they will enjoy them also and I look forward to seeing more books in this series.

I bought a zither for my grandson & ordered this to go along with it, & he had no problem at all using these inserts & playing the music. It's great & affordable fun, & there is lots of variety in the music choices, while at the same time there's a kind of funky homemade feeling to the "music book." I'll probably order another one for the grandson's birthday. It's a nice way for a child to make & be excited about music. It fit nicely into the "Music Maker Zither" (which you have to buy separately!)

Ordered these to go with the melody harp I oreded as a present for my mother. They work well and fit into the harp but would work better if they dropped in from the top instead of the bottom.

I ordered "Intermediate to Advanced" Fall / Winter. I got "Beginning to upper Intermediate levels". Has something changed? But, in all fairness, I like some of the pieces and will play them a lot. So, I guess the order is OK, but, in the future, Please, when I order some music from your company, I Expect to get just what I ordered. Period.

I am an adult with no musical aptitude so I thought this little harp might just be the place to begin. I downloaded a tuning app as recommended and it let's you know if your little harp is in tune. It's easy to adjust the nobs you just have to remember to go very slightly one way or another a large turn will send you to far off key. Since I have no real musical talent I may not be best judge of sound however according to my tuning app this little guy plays in key. I would definitely recommend this for any new beginner young or old. It's a nice way to instantly play soothing music. I am very pleased with the company and would highly recommend then. This music maker is made well, it has a nice price and the beautiful letter that came with my purchase was delightful. I hope to be able to get more and more advanced music for this little guy.

The music books are fantastic! They are easy to follow, informative and entertaining for all ages! I purchased all five volumes and would definitely recommend any and/or all volumes!! Looking forward to any future additional volumes the author may offer. I recommend an additional book be considered and/or written for beginning students concerning "how to tune the melody harp and/or zither." Appreciated the quick delivery and response! Thank you!!

The provided song sheet notes don't line up with the strings. So you would need to manually cut all the sheets down for it to work right. Very disappointing.

This is really nice music for a lap harp, and laid out very well. I should have paid more attention to the songs included because I don't know most of them. Even so, I think the World of Harmony Music is an excellent source for lap harp music. It just helps to start out with music that you are familiar with. My choice is not the fault of the music, but the fault of my choice. I think this source is excellent if you find music you like.
