SerendipiTea Cheeky Peach, Organic Peach, Cinnamon, Clove, Ginger & Indian Black Tea, 4 Ounce Box

I've been transitioning to loose leaf tea because the quality is better and the flavors are truer and more pronounced than I can get with the dusty crumbs filling most tea bags.A recent discovery was SerendipiTea's Burroughs' Brew, which is an excellent coconut tea with two ingredients, organic South Indian black tea and long unsweetened toasted coconut shreds and flavor.When I dunked my last Republic of Tea ginger peach teabag, I decided to try SeredipiTea's Cheeky Peach loose tea as a replacement. Surely the makers of Burroughs' Tea would have an outstanding peach tea! I looked at the spices on the photo of the label — ginger, cinnamon, and cloves — and I like every one of them. Although it didn't appear on the photo of the label, cardamom also was mentioned twice in the product information section. That would be a terrific addition to the spices in this tea. I envisioned a slice of spicy peach pie in a cup.The tea arrived today and my heart sunk when I saw the label. No cardamom, but that wasn't shown in Amazon's photo of the tea box. What's unforgiveable is that someone decided to sweep the floor and throw in dried apple (in peach tea!), rosehips, hibiscus, roasted chicory, and (big yuck) licorice root. What possessed SerendipiTea to turn this into a three-ring flavor circus? I would not have ordered it if I'd realized how far the recipe had strayed from a simple spicy peach tea."But have you tried it?' you may wonder. Yep, I brewed a cup and my concerns about the flavor are now realized. It's a solid "meh" that is slipping into firm dislike by the sip. That's $10 literally down the drain. I'll be sticking with Burroughs' Brew and the wonderful array of tea blends offered by Adagio Teas. The latter is to be commended for offering inexpensive sample packs.

The smell is amazing and tastes really good, I’d suggest using a little more than recommended .
