Good lock, CHEAP keys.
The lock seems pretty durable, but you can check YT for more accurate reviews on it’s construction. It remains completely hidden behind my lockbox, but the keys are absolutely GARBAGE. It’s like they’re made of Aluminum. You’ll bend and break them just trying to open the lock. A good locksmith can make you a more durable set.

Very stout, heavy, strong lock, and very large
Very stout and heavy lock. Would be very hard to cut through. The only consideration is the size. It barely fit to lock the gate of a moving truck, and it is too big for the latch on my storage unit. Make sure the latch or chain you need to secure can handle a lock of this size. It is probably double the thickness of a standard, hardware store padlock. That said, if it fits. you can probably rest assured that your stuff will be safe unless a thief is willing to undertake extraordinary measures to break this.

Perfect for shipping container
I had trouble finding a lock to go inside the factory lockbox on my shipping container, the Abus 9280 worked great. Locked, it only shows slightly at the bottom of the lockbox in picture #3. It is huge but there is no way for someone to break it container except by torch or grinder. The smaller Abus my work as well.

For a Germany company why are these made in China.
I purchased these locks for a cargo container and they were shown being used for what I needed and they are to big for my container. Also the made in China was covered over with a black marker.UPDATE: from what I understand ABUS is a German company but not necessarily produced there but it's still curious why MADE IN CHINA was blacked out. The locks are huge and seem extremely well made so I wanted to be fair in my review. Although I saw the exact locks being used on a shipping container, a customer had taken a photo of it in use and shared it on their review, it was not the sellers photo. But when I went to use it in the same application it would not fit. I had to buy a lock similar to this one but one step down in size from this one. I will return these locks unless I can find another use for them. But understand if you do need one this size it appears to be a great lock. So I'm changing my one star to a 4 star.

Secuirty first!!!
We use a 'tow chain' to lock our gate. Large links. We now use this lock. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for...I use cutters that are about 4 feet long to cut the chain links. Have to put one side of the cutter on the ground and force it to cut the links. I don't know if they would even cut this lock, it is so strong. Not going to try! Bought about 4 of these. Too much crime around here now, to use cheap locks. My opinion. Rain seems to have no effect. Others, in the past; sometimes have to use oil to make them work easily. Not these; so far. I do not think anyone in the alley would attempt to even think of chopping these 'monsters'!! The key looks a little 'weird'...doubt many crooks can take the time to open the locks.

Working great.
I’m using it on my shipping container here in Arizona. So far it’s been a good lock and is standing up well to the very dusty/sandy conditions.
