An awesome resource for personal healing
I purchased a second copy of this book because I have recommended it to so many people and lent it out so many times that I was concerned I might lose track of my copy. For those who have found it difficult to forgive old hurts due to ingrained beliefs about how you should forgive, this book gives new hope. The first time I read it, I took pages and pages of notes for myself and I have referred to those notes many times since. The author begins by recommending you take all of your beliefs about forgiveness and put them safely under your chair where they will remain accessible to you should you decide you need them. She then asks you to open your mind up to new and different approaches to forgiveness. Highly recommended.

Wonderful, Clearly + Precisely written; skip the Client/Patient antidotes.
Wonderful, clearly + precisely written, easy to read yet powerful book, on how to proceed w/Forgiving those who have abandoned, betrayed, dismissed + failed us: our Parents, Siblings, Friends, Lovers/Spouses, + ultimately Ourselves.I typically find Client/Patient antidotes "fillers," because there's no way to know whether the Client/Patient actually existed, never mind was authentically quoted. IF you know what you are looking for from "Forgiveness," then I would skip the antidotes altogether.Overall, well worth the paperback price. :>)

Forgiveness is the answer to many questions.
Something everyone should know: Why it's necessary to forgive, and how it's achieved. Forgiving does not benefit the person who is being forgiven, and doesn't condone the wrong that was done. Rather, it benefits and strengthens the person who is doing the forgiving. When you forgive, you get rid of the monkey you've been carrying around on your back for so long; you are no longer controlled by your anger. If everyone on this planet read this book and absorbed its message, there would be no more crimes and no more wars.

My first book on forgiveness
This small book is full of wisdom. After reading the book I feel indebted to Robin Casarjian. Based on the teachings of "A course in miracles", Ms Casarjian's book guides the reader into all aspects of forgiveness. This book stresses the importance of forgiving in order to liberate ourselves from fear, which is the underlying feeling behind resentment. According to the author, even our physical health may improve after practicing forgiveness. We all can profit by reading this enlightened book.

Okay -- no major complaints
The book was dirty -- as in chunks of dirt on it and throughout some of the pages. I didn't expect it to be perfect as it wasn't listed as "new," but it would have been nice if the seller had taken the time to clean it up a bit.

true healing
How often we hold onto blame and resentment long after an event is passed, looking toward others as the source of our pain, only to block any flow of love, self-inflicting additional injury. This book teaches us how to surrender our grudge, to unblock our heart, allowing us to give and receive love and to heal.
