Unfortunately, after a little more than a year using the PC just refuses to turn on. I mainly use it to watch movies or do homework, so the reason it just broke like that, as it was working just fine the day before, is beyond me.And gateway support is not very good either, I would say they don't even have a proper customer support page..Unfortunately I'm very disappointed, had a gateway computer that lasted me 4/5 years before it became crippling outdated, so this one breaking up after Year makes me very sad.

Very good laptop, however the only reason I'll not give it a higher level is the lack of a backlit keyboard. Other than that, the machine is fast and the touchscreen is responsive. To date I have not had any problems with it and therefore as a user I'm happy to recommend it.

Absolutely LOVE my new laptop. I really like the touch screen. I saved over $100 dollars buying this from Gateway rather than a Acer from Best Buy. Same laptop, better price. Gotta Love Gateway!

The item came not packaged properly.The laptop's touch-screen capability was and still is malfunctioning to this point. I had to disable the this function in Device Manager.I did send an email to the seller and I did get a response to return the item and I was also offered to 20% credit to my card in addition to the refund.However, it would cost me too much to accept the refund and buy another computer and have it sent to me, so I didn't bother to accept the offer. I would loose, it's as simple as that. So the offer is good, but as I said, it wouldn't benefit me.

Beware from which manufacturer u purchase electronics product from. I only write this review to help you make an informed decision. I owned an Acer tablet which ran on android and after charging it, it stopped booting up and would not work altogether. This happened at the 13 month after I purchased it. Many others have had the same thing happened to them. Simply type into your browser, “Acer tablet problems” and see for yourself. Acer uses inferior manufacturing parts that has caused these many product from malfunctioning just after the warranty has expired, so my best advice to anybody who would purchase Acer products is to at least get extra warranty coverage, but why bother with additional cost & headache trying to get repairs, personally I would stay away from purchasing any Acer product altogether due to the uncertainty of quality control and manufacturing deficiency. It's a shame that after spending hundred of dollars on this product it would just quit working for no reason at all. The SNID of the product in question is 20508373615.

For the price this is an excellent computer.
