K&N RF-1042DK Black Drycharger Filter Wrap - For Your K&N RF-1042 Filter

Seems pricey for what is essentially a sock. But, it does what it claims. I have a function hood scoop that channels cool air directly to my K&N air filter..unfortunately the hood scoop channels rain water with equal efficiency. This hydrophobic sock repells water, keeps my filter dry, and prevents water from entering the intake. That makes it valuable. The K&N sock is also ideal for those who drive in sandy, dusty, or muddy environments. You bought a good filter...now preserve it.

I also had one of these filter wraps on my last K&N CAI kit and you just can't beat them. I don't mind spending money on my ride but this thing looks like a napkin for $30. Don't feel bad though, I had one of these on my truck's CAI for almost three years and they just work great! It keeps a lot of the small dust / junk out of your filter so it stays cleaner longer for better performance and the wrap can just be wiped down with a clean dry rag to keep it from adding restriction. When first installed it fits tight & takes a little careful work to get it on the filter. The elastic in each end will relax for a looser fit over a year or so but even then it never slipped off my filter and kept right on working great! It is worth the cost for the protection and good look you get from it, I highly recommend this product!

I purchased this item to cover the K&N Air Filter under the hood of my 2002 Tahoe. Fits like a glove on the conical shaped filter. It does the job and keeps large bugs from clogging up the air filter and ensures water does not soak it in the heavy rains as well Highly recommend, wish it was not so expensive, but worth it.

I’m supposed it fit, I’m sure it’ll work fine. I have this on my daily and thought it’d be a good idea to keep water out.

Good quality, looks like the picture and the same as described. It helps out with water in the rain and works well. Item can be used on other brands too. Wish it was just even alittle cheaper

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FILTER WRAP! It is cheap insurance against water/moisture being sucked into filter and also another layer of protection against dirt. Helps extend filter cleanings as well. Filter wrap is extremely easy to install. Both ends of the wrap has elastic band rings sewn in the main wrap. One end has a larger opening that slides over the filter first and then the narrow end of wrap fits snug around chrome filter cap. Wrap can be easily removed once dirty, so you could just run the filter alone or rinse/dry the wrap and reinstall. You cannot go wrong with this item and they come in a few different colors!

Merke keinen objektiven Leistunsverlust mit der Hülle (bei meinem V8 Camaro dürften 2 PS mehr oder weniger sowieso nicht weiter ins Gewicht fallen).Desweiteren verstaubt der Filter nicht so schnell und 'frisst' auch keine Fliegen, Bienen und sonstige fliegende 'Kleinteile'. Lediglich der Preis ist unverschämt hoch, deshalb nur 3 Sterne.

For dune bashing it helps a little though at the end of the day it still requires full air spray to remove loads of fine sand
