The Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates Bridge Pickup is a hand-wound, vintage-output humbucker featuring an Alnico 2 bar magnet and 4-conductor wiring. Designed to replicate the iconic midrange-rich tone of Billy Gibbons’ 1959 Les Paul neck pickup, it delivers a balanced sound with warm lows and airy trebles. Crafted in Santa Barbara, CA, with vacuum wax potting for squeal-free performance, this pickup is a top choice for professional guitarists seeking authentic vintage mojo.

Excellent bridge tone.
Excellent tone. Exactly as advertised. I use this in the bridge and it can get very cool chimey tones as well as easy pinch harmonics. Very happy, I would purchase again.

Fantastic tone, screws could be better....
For the pickup and the way it sounds, I would give this pickup 5 stars. The mounting screws were a bit of a pain, but I got through it. I mounted this in an American Strat and the screws were too long, so I had to cut them down to about 3/4" long. Evidently, they are #3-48 screws and are about 1.75" long. I am sure they fit fine in a Gibson guitar, they just bottom out in a Strat body before the pickguard is completely seated in the guitar's body. They are also slotted screws which made it difficult to start the screw into the pickup's mounting hole with all the tension from the spring. If installing this in a Fender Strat, it's easier to remove the volume pot to make more room to work with the spring. Once installed, adjustments were easy, though I would have still preferred a cross head type screw so I did not have to switch screw drivers when adjusting pickups. All that aside, the pickup sounds magnificent! It is well worth the small, extra effort.

Great vintage hot pickup
Bought this to drop into a PRS SE CU24. The stock PRS pickups sounded... weird. The neck pickup is okay, but the bridge sounded like a blanket was over the highs(it was more subtle than the tone control). A lot of people had talked about the highs being shrill and it being ideal for a Les Paul due to the scale length/bridge balancing that out so I gotta say I was concerned ordering it because the tremolo... and if I’m being honest, the tone is amazing. It’s got a nice “grit” to it when you dig in. It is absolutely the sound I had in my head. The highs aren’t bad, it’s got good lows and mids, and it has a nice sweet sound. Tons of dynamics. You want blues? You got it. Classic rock? You bet. It’ll even do a decent VH and some more modern stuff if you want to(although it definitely isn’t ideal for that). All in all, if you’re looking for a sweet sounding vintage-hot pickup for classic rock/blues, look no further. Note - I’ve had this pickup in the guitar for about 3 weeks so you’re not hearing “first night honeymoon” raves. It still continues to impress me every time I plug it in.

Gorgeous Sounding Pickup
In short, I hated the ice picky sound of my bridge single coil in my USA-made strat. I replaced it with a Pearly Gates humbucker in the bridge, and it is now the versatile instrument that I have always wanted. I shot it out with the Burstbucker installed in my LP standard, which is the model sound that I was looking for in the bridge, and this pickup more than met my expectations! In a blind sound test, it was really hard to hear any difference between the two. Beautiful sounding pickup and great packaging!

Great pickup!
Used in conjunction with the Pearly Gates neck pickup to convert my LTD EC-1000 to passive pups. Could not be more pleased. The picture shows a zebra pickup but it was in fact a white pickup as described. It's has a very organic and musical voice, perfect for classic rock. Run through a tubescreamer and OCD and you're in Gary Moore territory. Used in conjunction with the Neck pup on the middle position with a transparent overdrive like a JHS Morning glory and there's a chimelike quality (think riff from Doobie Bro's - Listen to the Music).

Really clear top end
Installed these in my 2021 LP Standard. Immediately I noticed the clarity over the stock Burstbucker pickups. I can hear every note in a chord, even under gain. I liked these so well that I’ve ordered a gold set for my new 62 SG. I play through several Marshall plexi amps, so there’s nowhere to hide. These pickups tell the truth.

Perfect.
Exactly what I was hoping for. A good, crunchy, bluesy sound. It is a little louder than the stock pickup but not so much that it doesn't match the stock neck and middle pickups. Highly recommended.

Not cheap, but impressive bridge pick-up
I installed the pearly gates bridge pick-up in a Tokai LS95 and it sounds really nice. This pick-up differs from the Seymour Duncan 59 in the sense that it's got more of a chime-like quality when it's played clean. The note separation also sounds superior to the 59 to my ear and you get a nice high-end. When you crank it up this thing sounds great too. I don't think you can go wrong with either the 59 or the Pearly Gates, though it's down to you how much you're willing to pay for an upgrade. If you've got a Les Paul or something similar, then it's worth checking these out, but make sure you listen to clean demo's as well as overdriven to see whether they're for you.

Excelente Sonido
Excelente pastilla de puente con un sonido clásico PAF pero con un poco más de medios agudos que hacen que corte muy bien a través de la mezcla
