Does this one have a release door in the back?

The tru catch for adult cats, raccoons and other is equipped with a release door in the back but the tru catch for smaller cats and kittens does not have a release door. Please make sure your are choosing the right model to suit your needs.

what size/weight animal will trip this?

This is a sensitive spring action cage. I have caught feral kittens in them for spay and neutering. If you bait it correctly, placing the bait on the back side of the spring, it works every time. Well worth the money.
