It's not ME...it's the Blu-ray
Can't really add much to what has already been said on here about this very entertaining film.I saw it on it's cinema release and it has not lost much of it's charm (for me) at all.So if you are already a fan of, or remotely interested in seeing this film, I would urge you to pick up the US import Blu-ray.It is cheap, region FREE (plays on your UK Blu-ray player) and improves considerably on the old DVD release. At first, I was a little disappointed with this very basic Blu-ray presentation, less than staggering picture quality for not exactly an older film, no extras except annoying start up trailers (surprisingly in 1080/24p HD).However, on a second viewing, and sliding in the old DVD again for comparison, I was more impressed with how much better it looks, and especially, sounds..Try the scene where Martin first sees the 'Ultimart', accompanied by GnR's 'Live and Let Die', or indeed virtually any of the (brilliant selection here) mostly 80's songs for evidence of the stunning (DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1) soundtrack. It is so much more powerful than the old DVD's Dolby Digital 5.1.The video is fairly raw, but fine, and I am watching on a much larger screen (65") than when I first viewed the Blu-ray (on a 50").It gives a far more 'cinematic' presentation than the DVD, and may well be down to filmstock, lighting/filming techniques. This movie definitely deserves a (4K?) remastering, with perhaps something in the way of features, but this is as good as it gets for now.You could die waiting for a re-release, (it's not ME, if I show up at your door chances are you did something...)

Just like my school reunion!
This is a 1997 American black comedy crime film set against a high school reunion for the class of 1986. The disc opens to language selection [half dozen European languages] with no other features [other than scene selection] but as soon as the opening scene hits the screen you know you’re about to see something special. As we listen to the thumping lines of ‘I can see clearly now’ we see Martin Q. Blank [John Cusack] as a modern day assassin carrying out his latest ‘hit’ but the stress of the job is getting to him so he’s seeing his hard done by psychiatrist, Dr. Oatman [Alan Arkin]. Meanwhile his office assistant informs him that his next job is in his home suburb of Grosse Point in Detroit but Martin is reluctant to go as he still has feelings for Debi [Minnie Driver], his ex-flame who he abandoned on prom night 10 years previously. With the feds on his tail, things inevitably go awry.Dan Aykroyd plays one of his best roles as martins former partner and now a freelance operative. The acting from the four leads is top notch and the script is lively and full of dark humour, but it’s the blistering soundtrack that helps hold it all together, featuring mainly independent music from the 1980s. Despite some obvious flaws this remains a gripping and original movie that has not noticeably dated and still remains fresh. If you like 80’s music such as the Clash, like dark humour and are prepared to watch a film where Cusack looks like a mortician for its entirety, this this could be for you.

Severely underrated
I've loved this movie for years. The quick humour, the deadpan characters, the story of a professional killer going to his highschool reunion... everyone should watch this
