I see this one has the same model number S107G that the red and blue ones have but this is 3.5 channel and the red and blue are 3. Is this a typo or is there really a difference?

Old question, I know, but I'll answer it anyways since someone else might read this and wonder the same question. The helicopter is actually a 3.5 channel. However the .5 is for the trim (the knob that's used to fix the helicopters spinning while hovering). So in regards to actual flight, the helicopter can be controlled to go forward, backwards, up, down, and rotate left and right. In this regard the helicopter is a 3 channel. Essentially the .5 is kinda useless 99% of the time, so for short people call this copter a 3 channel.

Can I Charging the helicopter from the wall with a USB wall plug in.

I've done it from an OLD 0.5A/500mA usb wall charger. Computer usb ports put out 5v at 0.5A/500mA, whereas most newer usb chargers put out 5-5.1v at 1A or more, so the battery may not be able to handle the higher amperage.
