Review: 2nd Ninja Coffee Machine and it just gets better! - Imagine spending $400 on a drip coffee maker and throwing it out in less than a year. Yeap, replaced a Moccamaster with a Ninja Specialty and I could not be happier. Love coffee, mostly drink 4-6 cups of freshly ground coffee a day. I had an older basic Ninja for several years before giving it to my son and wife, thinking it was a win win, so that when I visited I could enjoy a great cup of coffee, while at home I thought I would upgrade to a superior coffee machine (Moccamaster recommended by Wirecutter). The Moccamaster was a rip off. Could not fathom spending that kind of money, just to throw it away. Right? Tolerated it for less than a year then couldn't stand it anymore. In the garbage it went. Lesson learned. Ninja Specialty surpasses my expectation. First it makes excellent coffee. Can choose classic or bold, cup, mug, half or full pot, and the machine adjusts accordingly. The ease of use now is great, don't have to pull the machine out from under the cabinet anymore since the filter holder pulls out the front area. The water reservoir can also be removed from the side and be filled or washed. Has its own scoop that shows how much coffee is recommended depending on the brew cycle. Have not tried the frother yet. Another improvement is that if you want to grab a cup before the brew finishes you just move a lever to the left, which pauses the brew, this is important because all the machines I ever had, when you pull the carafe out, some coffee drops still drip on the hot plate which fizzles and stains the base. What a great great well thought out and tested machine. Highly recommend! Ninja appears to build products that are built around what their customers want while others appear to build products based on profitability and greed, using their brand well initially as a trap then turning their goods into garbage and charging excessively for inferior products. Again, lesson learned.
Review: Excellent Coffee Maker - the BEST actually... - We've owned several Keurig coffee makers over the years, and we're big fans of single cup brews. Unfortunately, we've also had every single Keurig machine break down on us...which has become very frustrating, AND expensive. Combine that with the fact that our favorite K-cups have gone WAY up in price, it just wasn't sustainable any longer to continue with Keurig. After looking around at alternatives, I found this Ninja coffee maker and I thought the option to brew a full carafe or single cups of coffee to be exactly what I was looking for. For those that use the feature, there is also an automatic brew option, so you can set it before bed, and wake up to a carafe or cup of coffee in the morning without the wait if you should so choose. I can't really speak about the issues I've read on here regarding leaking carafes, etc. because we really only brew one cup at a time. For this purpose, this coffee machine works perfectly. It does take a little longer to brew a single cup than a Keurig, but the coffee and options you have are so much better than a Keurig. Because you can fill your filter basket however you like, you can make your coffee as strong or as weak as you like because you're no longer limited to a pre-measured K-cup. So, the coffee tastes far superior to K-cups, AND overall, it's MUCH cheaper to buy coffee. Also, your coffee options are no longer limited to brands that produce K-cups. You can buy ANY coffee. I know, some people will say you can buy K-cup pods and fill them with your favorite coffee...but I've done that plenty of times, and they ALWAYS taste weak to me. Fast forward to today, we've had this machine for over a year now and thankfully we've had zero problems with it at all (unlike our previous 5 Keurig machines). Personally, based on our experience with this Ninja, I would definitely recommend this coffee maker to anyone who loves coffee, and I would absolutely purchase it again - with zero hesitation. **Q: Can this machine also make Epresso Coffee**
A: It isn't espresso because it isn't made under pressure, but it does have a "specialty" mode that is calibrated to make a drink that TASTES like espresso. And it gets good reviews, even from pour-over snobs. But it is technically not espresso.

**Q: Can you use it under a wall cabinet? The ads show it on a kitchen counter under a cabinet similar to ours.**

We would like to inform you that steam will come out of the top of the Ninja™ Specialty Fold-Away Frother (CM407) Coffee Maker while brewing. With this being said, we do recommend that you pull the machine out from under over hanging cabinets when using it.

A: I love espresso and I can say "specialty mode" does taste like espresso (or cappuccino or a latte with milk) using regular coffee grounds. You use regular coffee grounds. It turns out amazing in this mode. I am super happy with my purchase.

**Q: I don't know how this will turn out but it looks great**
A: I have had no problems with my machine. I have had it for 2+ years now. It doesn’t actually make espresso, but the specialty coffee feature does make a strong coffee that I believe is quite enjoyable!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Flawless; more convenient than k-cups

Been using this daily for about a year now. Perfect coffee maker. It’s essentially an automatic pour over (with multiple water streams instead of just one), and it’s extremely easy to use and clean. Cleaning just requires lifting and dumping the bag of grounds in the trash; the grounds holder is extremely easy to remove from the machine. Water tank holds plenty of water and is easy to fill. I did an absurd amount of research into an automatic pour over (to replace k-cup dependency) and this product checks all the boxes. I was willing to drop $$$ for the super expensive ones, but none of them match the level of quality / convenience. Flawless. Pair with a grinder and it becomes quicker and easier than a k-cup machine. And the quality is as close as you’ll get to a hand-made pourover.
