This watch looks great! The strap is plenty big enough, so you may have to remove a link or two. Clasp looked amazing, and the material looked quality.

For starters, I have wanted a fossil watch for years. Over the years I loved the look of these watches, and heard great stories from friends. Knowing what they paid, and back then never really being the kind of person that would pay (especially a semi decent amount) for a watch and wear it regularly I never really committed. The tides have turned... this was a great deal to me knowing what these watches go for. I received the watch in a metal tin, with some cards and on a plastic, paperish band display. I set the time, played with chronograph and everything worked. I’ve had it for about two weeks or so now, and have had to reset the time on it twice.. but that was in the beginning, and one time I think was my fault because of movement and not having the dial in all the way. I noticed that on the second time around when resetting the chronograph the second meter only returned to about 7 seconds as a 0 point rather than actual 0...... I read the cards as this does not come with an instruction manual, and turns out you can register your watch with fossil and the instructions for each watch are online. After reading through, I realized that I had pressed some buttons in a sequence that cause it to set that way. I reset the chronograph and time and date (again, read the card it comes with and register your product) and since then, for over a week, it has been running fabulously. I did have to have 2 links taken out as my wrist is about 8 to 8.5 inches. I can’t speak of water resistance other than washing your hands, and I like this watch too much to test it out on a dive (although the dial does have the turn capability of a divers watch). I did give the timer function a 5 star as it has worked great since everything has been reset, so we will see how long it holds good time. Overall, a great, decently heavy, rugged and classic looking time piece.

Mineral crystal rather than sapphire, so be mindful of hard surfaces, but day-to-day scratches haven't been an issue for me. Wearability The 50mm case runs large — worth knowing before you buy. On a smaller wrist it will wear dramatically oversized. On a medium to large wrist it sits perfectly. The bracelet adjustment is straightforward and most jewelers or watch shops will size it for free in minutes. Chronograph Function Pushers are responsive and the subdials track accurately. Exactly what you need from a quartz chrono — reliable, consistent, no fuss. Bottom Line If you want a bold, well-built chronograph that looks twice its price, the Fossil Nate JR1401 delivers. Great gift option too. Just know what you're getting — a stylish, reliable everyday quartz, not a luxury timepiece.

I originally ordered this watch Dec.21, paid for next day shipping. Got notice on the 23rd that my package was lost. Had to cancel and reorder. When it finally arrived the tin it came in was dented, opened and the watch was loose in the bag with no protective packaging. Luckily there was no damage to the watch. The watch itself is great. Nice big face, the colours are great and the band is nice. It did have a tag with MSRP of $195, so if you don’t get this for 155-177 when they lower the price, then you aren’t getting a deal.
