Collector The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Effie Trinket Doll

Well, I've never really been TOO much of a doll collector; as a kid I loved the houses and playsets and all the accessories, but rarely played with the dolls themselves. HowEVER, as I shopped the Hunger Games Exhibition gift shop, I spotted the Catching Fire dolls--and instantly knew I had to bring Effie home. She's my favorite. But I ordered her from here because--shocker of shocks--the gift shop wanted twice the price. No-brainer. ;] Her attractive box is in good shape, and I can now use it for storage in the closet after carefully removing her and setting her up beside my six other dolls on display. Thank goodness she came with a stand; I was afraid she wouldn't, like the last three dolls I ordered. And while she may insist on torturing herself, I didn't want to force her to stand on her own in those gorgeous shoes 24/7. ;) It's tricky to slide because her dress is so tight, but once it's in place, Effie stands infinitely more securely on her round black platform than my other two dolls currently on stands do on theirs. And oh, is she fabulously beautiful--they didn't miss a beat with her curly wig (which could stand to be more orange, but it's a lovely color as is), makeup details, shoes, sheer gloves, shimmery gold tights, belt, collar, and metallic cobalt-blue dress with huge feathery sleeves! Her face looks like hers instead of Barbie's. Her arms can be moved forward and back, and of course her head tilted slightly up/down or side-to-side. These are definitely high-quality collector's and fan's items.

I love this doll. Although she has the typical Barbie face it does not take away from the doll at all. I think most Barbie dolls look rather odd when they try to make them look the actress they are portraying. Her shawl looks like it is made from real feathers and her make up is purely Effie. Her outfit is just like the one in the movie. I would highly recommended buying this doll for anyone who is a fan of the books or the movies.

We bought Effie, Katniss, and Peeta for our granddaughter for Christmas. All are well-made and accurately drawn from the movie Catching Fire. Effie is definietly the most unique of the 3; she's a bit odd but so is her character in the books. She would be instantly recognizable by anyone who has read the books.She was thrilled with all 3.

Everything is fine! I only gave 4 star's because I thought mattel could have done a little better on her. She looks too much like Barbie trying to dress up as Effie than Elizabeth Banks in the roll of Effie. We have seen how Mattel can do a pretty good job on the likeness of celebrity doll's, even the katniss doll from this line has a great resemblance to Jennifer Lawrence. The costume is great, the face and the hair could use improvement.

My son bought this for his girlfriend, who writes fan fiction about this character. She was thrilled! I kind of doubt she'll play with it (she is 17), but who knows? :) Very fast shipping and a terrific price - very happy with this seller.

Als Sammlerin war ich begeistert, jedoch finde ich es schade, dass der Body nicht beweglich (Gelenke) ist, wie fast alle anderen aus der Reihe. Das Gesicht (kaum erkennbar: Mackie-Face) ist toll geschminkt und jetzt mit einem beweglichen Modelmuse-Body gefällt sie mir wirklich gut.

Très belle poupée,version très proche du personnage d effie dans Hunger games. Il y a un soucis du détail dans les vêtements, seuls les gants sont décevants. Le maquillage est un peu trop pâle par rapport à la version cinématographique. La livraison a été rapide et la boîte a été reçue en bon état.
