Astro Queo 7" Android Tablet (4GB Memory, WiFi, A13, 7 Inch Multi Touch 5 Point Screen)

Mine had a 1" band of the screen completely unresponsive to touch (see [...]) The box claims that it comes with a 1 year manufacturer's warranty but the instruction booklet inside did not have information on how to get it replaced.It runs some hacked-up Android with a sketchy app store instead of the regular one, as other reviews have noted. This wouldn't ordinarily be a problem, but this model isn't supported by CyanogenMod and the manufacturer doesn't appear to have a website with drivers or anything.On the plus side, it's light but doesn't feel flimsy in contruction, connected to my home wifi just fine (aside from typing problems caused by the afforementioned touchscreen broken-ness), and appears from very superficial testing to have pretty decent battery life. If you want additional storage it has a slot for a microsd card but did not ship with one.Its only camera is on the same side as the screen. The black plastic top snaps onto the white plastic back and is additionally held in place with two tiny philips head screws.Amazon is being great about letting me return it, though. So over-all verdict: Worth the risk for a cute toy if you don't mind taking the time to return a broken one and don't plan on doing anything particularly secure on it. (I would not trust the OEM-customized android version with any personal information such as email or banking, since they've modified it enough to add their own app store and could easily have any number of backdoors.)

I bought this tablet for the purpose of testing the Android Apps I write and it works perfectly for that purpose. The device comes with...- A USB wall charger- A micro USB charging cable- A USB to micro USB adapter (still unsure as to why this was included)- The device itself.PROS=====-The tablet looks and feels good physically, the size is perfect for my hand and when holding it horizontally both my thumbs can reach comfortably across all parts of the screen for navigation. The white on black contrast of the device makes the device look more high quality than it actually is, which is a good thing considering the price tag.- The battery life appears to me longer than what it is advertised to be. I charged the device up to 100% when I first got it 2 days ago and it is at about 25% right now, after playing games and general use.- Overall speed and functionality of the OS on this device is good. Browsing the internet is not much of an option but for playing standard games like Angry Birds, Candy Crush, and Flappy Bird, this device can do all that very well with minor hiccups.- The price tag. This is not a great device by any means but for the $50 price tag this product is outstanding, I can not wrap my mind around how they are able to offer this device for that price considering it is a full tablet with full functionality.CONS=====-The display on the tablet is very poor. When looking at it from any angle aside from straight on, the screen becomes either white washed or shrouded in darkness, making it only useful if you are holding it directly in front of you or looking at it head on.-The Micro SD card works but getting a SD card out of the slot is next to impossible. On normal devices, a micro SD card slot usually has a functionality where if you push it in more once it is inserted, it will pop out. This device does not, so once you put a SD Card into the slot it pretty much becomes permanent storage.- Very low specs. If you are used to browsing the web on a phone or a more name brand tablet, this device will drive you crazy with its speed. The 512MB's of RAM really kill this device as we live in a age where the average smart phone has more processing power than this.Overall Opinion on Product=====================For the price, this device is absolutely amazing. If this product were any more expensive it would be rated as a 1 or 2 star product, but the selling point of this device is the price tag. If you are looking for an entry level Android tablet for casual use or for fun, this would be a great starting point. I haven't owned the device long enough to see if its durable enough for children to use but if you have a child who wants to constantly play games on your phone, this would be a suitable device for that purpose as the price tag is not going to break the bank. (Although if you are going to give this device to a child I would not allow them to look at the app store that comes stock on the device as when you first load it up it will display the top downloads of the week, and for myself when I opened it up, the first few apps were pornographic related with very graphic logo's attached to them). It's not perfect but the price is. For my purpose this device fits my needs completely, but for anyone else who wants a tablet but doesn't want to spend the money, I would highly recommend it.

Basically for the price it's practically a steal, it doesn't have the Google Play Store and the operating system is only the Android 4.04 Ice Cream Sandwich and it only has a front facing camera but to improve in these areas it couldn't be sold at this price and aside from maybe the camera you really don't miss the Play Store as the 3 pre-installed markets including Amazon's have most of the apps that Google has and virtually all the major ones from what i've seen. They are also just as easy to download as from Google so that is not a concern. The operating system is a bit slow and a touch buggy at times but that is pretty much the norm for every Android OP prior to the latest one which finally fixed a lot of the stability issues. The only real semi-legit complain I can make is that the app icons ovelap the home screens in portrait something that I've never had an issue with in any of my other numerous android devices, however it's not a major issue and the screens are fine in landscape. Also as a previous reviewer wrote Netflix doesn't work as it you can only hear the audio and not the video, however that is not the tablets fault as reading up on it it is an issue that many have had in the past with other android devices. Still haven't found the answer if anyone has one please let us know. Also this is pretty much the only app that hasn't worked another reviewer wrote about a few others not working but hasn't been the case with my usage of them.

Got it for my 13 yr old after he broke his old one. Nice clear screen. It does not have the Google Play Store. It does offer an app store of sorts, but doesn't have as many apps. You cannot use 2 apps at the same time. So if you want to listen to a video on You Tube and Facebook at the same time, its not happening. The Facebook app and a few others crash a lot. The on screen keyboard will not work if the tablet is long ways, only sideways - which makes it harder to type as the keys are farther apart.Overall, the cons can be dealt with for the price - for a kid. If your an adult, I would recommend spending $20 bucks more and getting something of better quality and the Play Store!

I bought this for my my mother's birthday gift. We were surprise how this tablet works. It's clear and the alphabet are big which is perfect for typing. She love the facebook app that is already downloaded in the tablet. Now she is using facebook everyday.It works well.
