What a Deal!
Very nice looking watch. The black/grey is very elegant. Wish it was just a tad smaller in diameter but, then, I ordered a 40mm. At the price point, the band is a plus - nice looking and is ultra fine mesh so it does not catch my arm hair. The latching mechanism takes a bit of getting used to but is very secure and well designed. (update: After trying another Amazon watch with a mesh band, this watch has a way better band. (23AUG19)I'm a stickler for accuracy so have been timing this watch for the time I've had it and it has only gained about 8 seconds a month. Very acceptable. The time/date adjustment is the same as any other time/date watch I have but the manual devotes an inordinate amount of space to it along with space to features this watch does not have. Alternately there is very little on the band length adjustment which is unique to this band. The worst part is it is printed in mouse type. Took two pairs of cheaters to read it.Maybe it won't last but so far, for the money, can't beat it.Update 23AUG19: Lowed my 5 star to 3 star because it cannot withstand even a minimal amount of splashing. While this is a very dressy watch, I forgot to take it off & had it on while doing some work outside. When done, hosed off (no nozzle, just a stream from the hose) my arms. Today there is moisture on the inside of the crystal.Update 13OCT19: 3 stars up to 4. After my August update, I reached out to Burei customer service. After some back and forth, they sent me a new watch. Didn't even want the old one back. Excellent customer service. However, although I do really like the watch, because of my previous experience, I have to be EXTRA careful around water which limits when I can wear it. That's why 4 stars and not 5.Update 27JUN21: The original watch (the new one they sent me) still going strong. Part of the rotation so I end up wearing it every couple of weeks. Updated rating from 4 to 5 stars. (Maybe I just got a bum one first time out as I will sometimes forget to be "extra careful" around water & it seems unaffected.)They were a few bucks off on Prime Days so bought another one. This one has a gold case, gold mesh band (same fine mesh as the black one) with a dark blue face with sparkles (they look like white spots in the picture but actually sparkle). Set it, adjusted the band, and put it on when it showed up (a day earlier than stated when I ordered it). Still have it on as it looks very nice on my wrist.

Exactly what I hoped it would be
I gave this watch four stars because it is exactly what I hoped it would be, which is an inexpensive everyday watch that I don't have to worry about beating up, but didn't really wow me.While the 25 dollars I spent was on the higher end of my target range, I have been pleased that there were no disappointments after opening the box. The quality of the materials feel noticeably cheaper than my more expensive MVMT watch, but for the price I think the look and feel is surprisingly good.I have been mostly pleased with the light weight and thin/not to large diameter dimensions. I wear it both under and over my lab coat (which has tight elastic cuffs) and under nitrile gloves at work and it doesn't feel too bulky or restrictive of movement. The parts that connect to the band don't really conform to the curve of my smallish wrists, but the overall slimness mostly makes that a non-issue for me.Probably my biggest complaint is setting the watch. It works well enough, but the nob feels a little fragile when pulled out and it's frustrating that the minute hand moves a little when you push it back in, changing the time from what you set it to to something slightly off. I'm not too particular about accuracy, but I did try to anticipate the movement and got pretty close to where I was aiming for.(The rest is just a reflection on the pros and cons of a steel mesh band. The band I received on my watch works fine and is as advertised.)The steel mesh band took me a minute to figure out, as I've never had one before and there weren't really clear instructions on how to latch it. Once I figured it out, though, I found the ease of removal appealing. As a person who is typically on the hot and sweaty side I like that the band is cooler than leather and more comfortable than steel links. The trade off is that I had to get used to keeping the band at the same length all day (since it's not easy to adjust on the go) whereas I would sometimes loosen the band to move it around on my wrist and let some of the sweat evaporate with a leather strap. Overall I"m quite happy with my choice comfort wise and I think that the style fits very nicely in the casual but not too casual range I was going for.

Thin, simple, stylish, and doesn't pull my arm hair
I was talking with my grandmother recently about watches and about how they aren't worn very much anymore now that everyone carries smartphones, but she made a good point about how watches aren't always just for function, they can also be for style. And that got me thinking... when my wife and I have to get dress up all fancy for some formal event, she puts on a nice necklace or two and a nice set of earrings and maybe a bracelet, and there I am with not a single accessory. So I started looking at getting a nice, formal-looking watch. For functionality I would only ever go for digital since I'm not super-quick at reading analog clocks or watches, but for a formal style I though analog had to be the way to go. I wanted it to be thin and simple, not something bulky or shiny, and definitely not one of those elastic/metal bands like my dad wears as they always pulled my hair. But I also couldn't go Velcro like on the watch I used to wear because that's not formal enough. So with all that in mind I came across this one, and I think it works well as an accessory for a formal dress-up occasion. The black band is metal mesh and yet not elastic at all so it doesn't pull my hair. You have to use the included tool in order to adjust the length, which was kind of a pain, but seeing as how that only needs to be done once it can be forgiven. The watch face has a dark gray background with a black metallic border and hands that match. Depending on the light, the background sometimes looks light gray, and I think I might have preferred a black background. The watch is battery powered, which would be a necessity if I were to wear it every day, but for only occasional use manual wind-up would have been fine. That knob on the side pulls out slightly and is then used to adjust the time, and then pulls out a little more to adjust the day. There is no method for setting the month or year so I guess you have to fix the date every time a new month begins where the previous month didn't have 31 days?Since I'm not going to be wearing this every day, I was happy to find that it comes in a nice-looking storage box. The outer slipcover is like a black, thick paper/thin cardboard, but the box itself feels almost leather, like a fake leather. Inside the watch strap slides into an elastic band to keep it in place, then there's a dark gray foam piece that sets on top. The top of the box has a pouch where the documentation is kept along with the tool for adjust the band's size. Although the box is nice, I do think I would have preferred it to be a smaller to make it easier to pack and travel with. For my purposes, this watch is pretty much exactly what I was looking for.

I like it, very affordable
Great watch and I like the design! It can withstand accidental splashes, light rain, or a quick handwash. However, it is not safe for swimming or showering

Classic Professional Daily Watch
I honestly love this brand. They're very classically-styled, minimal yet professional. The ONLY con of this watched compared to my previous BUREI watch is that you cannot hear the watch tick on this one. Sort of disappointed by that, I love hearing my other BUREI tick. Feels like a "real" watch.

What you need to know about this watch.
I bought this watch for everyday use. My everyday watch when I worked in a shipyard was a $20.00 Timex, cheap and took bangs and knocks like a pro. This watch arrived in a simulated wood grain box made of cardboard, no clasp tool, and the color of the blue watch with gold colored hands was not was shown on the website, still blue but not as vibrant blue as depicted. The Clasp is not like depicted either, not two a piece unit. One piece that is easy to open and shut without the use of any tool, it does not slide and is permanently affixed to one end of the strap. Unlock it, slide the other end through and press shut when you have the fit you want. The band is not that long, and if you have "Huge" wrists then this might not be the watch for you. I'm a big man, over 350 lbs, and it fit me. Time accuracy so far is not a problem, I set it 2 hrs ago and it matches the digital time on my computer exactly. Time will tell how it does later. Water proofing is the main concern I have. Not recommend to wear it while in the shower. That's not very water resistant and I only read this AFTER buying it.The PLUS is it looks really nice and alot more expensive than what I paided for it.

Very luxurious for being so cheap
I was pleasantly surprised by the presentation, attention to detail like a little plastic tab to keep the battery from being drained, little tool that it comes with and the quality of materials. Honestly, for a watch that i take to work and runs the risk of getting scratched and damaged, this is a fantastic stylish daily tool for keeping time and looking good doing it, I would much rather put this at risk than my Citizen or Seiko lol
