I've recently had back surgery that has resulted in a fairly long recovery time. I'm a 66-year old runner, and anxious to get back on the road, but I've been advised that I need to be very careful of any impact during my rehab, including too much walking. Many years ago I trained with a flotation belt, and thought it might be an acceptable workout to get my strength back without the impact my doctors were concerned about. I purchased the Speedo Aqua Fitness Jog Belt from Amazon (2-day free shipping with Prime!) and have been using it to build back my strength and stamina, and I'm delighted with my choice. As I said, I've used flotation belts before, and found that they have a tendency to slip up, no matter now tightly they're cinched. The Speedo one-piece belt can be cinched tight and it stays in place, allowing me to use it for 20 minutes of workout without having to adjust it. In other words, it stays put! I'm a bit surprised about those other reviews who stated they had trouble figuring out how to adjust the belt. Really? It comes out of the box with the strap threaded through the belt. The only "adjustment" is to tighten the strap, which works exactly like a seat belt on a plane. It should be tightened so that there is no way for the belt to move. If it's adjusted loosely, of course the belt would ride up and be uncomfortable. Pull the belt tight and you're all set! As I discovered years ago when I used a flotation belt for marathon training, this is no sissy's workout. You can work up a sweat, even if you're in the water. It's a great, low-impact way to get your workout, or to supplement your daily run. Having used other flotation products before, I can tell you this belt beats the ones made from 3 or 4 pods. Those slip and are difficult to get to fit properly. They're just plain uncomfortable! The Speedo Aqua Fitness Jog Belt is a really good design, something I'd expect from Speedo. I'm grateful I have something of this quality to complete my rehab period before I hit the road again, and I feel pretty confident that I'm going to add it as a permanent part of my workout.

Holds you well but very bulky to take back and forth to the class. Harder than others to do exercises due to size. Nice back support if you want that feature.

Great product, I am very pleased. It’s lightweight, easy to carry, durable, and easy to adjust. It stays securely around the waist and makes exercising in the pool more comfortable and fun.

I'm male, 5"10, 170 lbs, 32" waist. I found the s/m belt fit great. Very comfortable. Belt buckle did not slip. Also just the right amount of buoyancy: my chin was just about the water-line. Very happy with purchase. As an aside, I liked the work-out. After an hour swimming, my elbow or shoulder or knee usually gets achy. (I'm 58.) The belt lets me do some cross-training. I can keep my heart-rate up while relieving swimming stress points.

This says it fits a larger waist but then the flotation won't be in the right location on your body. This is a youth belt at best. So disappointed. I love to jog in the deep end of the pool so I splurged on this aqua-type belt. The belt is fine but the flotation will end up at your back if you buy the small size.

it works well but will ride up unless you are truly hourglass shaped!

I got this belt and found that it had several problems for me. Yes, it kept my head above water, but it wasn't comfortable. The webbed belt should always go over the end of the belt before it buckles (check out other items if you don't understand what I am saying). With the webbed belt going under the end of the jogbelt, it allows the very ends to stick out and get in the way of my arms when I am trying to exercise. Also, I couldn't adjust it to stay down around my waist (even going under my belly to keep it in place). It kept riding up around my boobs and made my ribs hurt.

I love this belt. It has helped me immensely in deep aqua exercise.

I am learning to swim and I got this belt to aid me in keeping my arms free with a little support. I'm 5'4" and 130 lbs and the Small/Medium belt is buoyant enough to support my mid-region and helps me focus on my breathing and form on my arms and legs. It won't completely keep your entire body afloat though which is why it is perfect for learning. The only con is that because it floats, it tends to ride up to my chest and I really need to have the belt at it's tightest to keep it from doing that. Tightening it puts pressure on the foam and I'm nervous that it might eventually tear it after long term use. I think this issue would also apply if you were to use it for its prime purpose as a fitness jog belt.

Gracias a el pude entrenar en el agua por una lesión en el pie, corrí dos meses flotando en el agua e hice mi mejor tiempo en un maraton en Chicago, súper recomendable.
