It’s a big knife...
Wow. It’s a big knife. I got it as a piece to add to my disaster kit - something that was heavy duty and would handle an array of tasks at hand. And it will accomplish that if nothing else...When I say it's a big knife, I will admit, 6 inch blade isn’t huge, but I’m not exclusively talking about blade length when I mean huge. this is a thick, well built knife. It has to weigh close to a pound. It’s very well built - i feel like I could use a hammer-like device on the back of the blade to chop wood without causing the blade to bend or dent - splitting wood will be a breeze. I’m not sure what else I could do with it besides put it in the survival kit. I certainly can’t take it out in public, it’s intimidating.Anyhow, this is a well built, solid knife, made in the USA by a reputable company. Definitely a solid purchase at $18, and a welcome addition to my survival kit -

Great value for american made blade.
Great value. Great craftsmanship for $30 (in 2023). I will point out that the swedge is not ground evenly on the spine to an even false edge, so you would not be able to just sharpen it, would have to do actual regrind of it, if you wanted to sharpen some of hte spine near the tip.Sheath is very plain, nylon affair with belt loop and snap, but is serviceable, plenty good to take in the woods.I very easily trimmed the lanyard hole off of the back of the rubber handle to make it more ergonomic for thrusting, fits in the palm well in a saber grip, Handle is comfortable, if otherwise a little thin, side to side, but would make for good concealment.

Complements my buck 118
Price Point is Fair for this knife, not awesome by any means. Like the blade material--carbon, and it is uniquely made to feel primitive. Wrapped handle with camo hockey stick tape, and it is much easier for me to hold. A great hunting, survival tool knife. Not a combat knife by any means. That is what cold steel, ka bar, Ontario, etc is great for, but not for this knife.UPDATE: Workable knife. Refiled and sharpened edge. Used braking fluid to remove factory coating and cleaned blade. Sprayed a thin layer of silicon lubricant on blade and dried. This gave it a nice appearance for the blade. Top edge great for starting fires for camp. This knife is a workhorse, not a get up and go from the beginning.Sheath is worst ever, but I am replacing with a leather ka bar sheath for a reasonable price.6 inch blade.
