I sew a lot and have been through a few irons in the past year. My Rowenta is pretty good, but randomly spits out black gunk, perhaps I'm not cleaning it right. The Chi Lava has been great. Lots of steam, presses well. I like that it stays on for half an hour before shutting itself off. It is a little heavy, which probably is conducive to pressing, but could be an issue for some. My only real complaint is that it is hard to see the water line. The compartment is red plastic and hard to see through. Otherwise, it has been the best iron that I have used to date.

My wife loves the new iron. It’s smooth and has great steam. I did a lot of research on irons…if anything arises, I will provide an update

Not sure if it's worth over $130 but this is definitely the best iron I've ever used. I decided to go with the vmbest this time as other irons tend to die over time. Retractable cord works well.

Excellent iron, heats up fast and works very well. The only downsides are that the cord is a bit short, the soleplate is already showing some wear, and it feels a little heavy. Other than that, I really liked it and it gets the job done.

Nice quality iron, works well, provides lots of steam when needed. The cord length is perfect for my home and the cord retractor works very well. It glides across the fabric and isn't too heavy to use.

This iron is fantastic. It heats up quickly, delivers powerful steam, and glides so smoothly that it makes ironing feel effortless. Honestly, I enjoy ironing now, which I never thought I’d say!The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is the retractable cord — it’s a little janky and doesn’t always retract properly. If not for that, this would be a perfect 5-star iron.
