Review: Bad packaged but overall good - My husband loves anime and manga so I decided to get him these series for our anniversary. Only problem was that we didn't like how it was packaged. They are books they should be packaged with care. Some of the corners were ruined of the books. Other than that he loved that I got him the whole series.

Scuffs
For a new product, it arrived scuffed on the spine. Still enjoy it tho.

Seriously?
The first half of the volume is literally the last half of volume 3! What the heck is that? Literally a waste of pages! I mean I heard that it was canceled but seriously? What’s the point of making volumes if you’re repeating the same material? At first I thought it was just a recap but NO it was the whole other half meaning the first of it was new material. That really sucks... I love the story & the art designs but thatnreally freaking sucks and makes it kind of a waste...

Pretty good
~4 Stars As the other Mononoke are clearly after Rago and want to separate Rago from Jiro, they have to decide how to attack back. Rago wants Jiro to be okay, and Jiro wants to fight everyone. Rago throws in a surprise here, though, that not even the mononoke had considered. With this new power, the bureau is having a hard time keeping hold of Jiro, and Jiro needs to train to figure out how to handle it all. Jiro meets a new mononoke in the second half of this volume. It's a mononoke woman, who has made an agreement to live peacefully and unbothered in this forest, along with her husband who used to be human. I really liked getting to see their dynamic and history, how they came to be in this position. It's a really sweet story, and I was pleasantly surprised to meet these characters. I kind of want more of them. The next volume is the last, which seems to mean that there isn't a romance in the forefront, and I appreciate that. Jiro only formed some light friendships with all of the characters, including the women, and I like that. The plot line was more important to him, at least. Now, saying that, I kind of ship Ichika and Roren? It's so odd to me, and yet I'm kind of into it. (A review copy was provided by the publisher, VIZ Media, for an honest review. Thank you so, so much!)
