Great for just learning to play catch
I never played teeball. So, I was surprised to find out that teeballs are actually kind of hard--hard enough that, if it hits you in the face, it can hurt--even for adults.Tennis balls are a little too light to start playing catch with because the ball doesn't stick in the glove. They're good to just work on hand-eye coordination--kids can learn to put the glove in the right place. But, I needed something a little more weighty, so that my child would not get frustrated that he wasn't catching the ball.I asked my dad and he recommended a ragball.Problem is, they're a little hard to find these days. Couldn't find them at Sports Authority or Target. So, I was stoked that Amazon had them. This 9-inch ball is about the size of a baseball/teeball. It's heavier than a tennis ball, but not so hard that if it hits them in the stomach or the face, it will just bounce right off. Plus, you can throw it around inside in the hallway without fear of scuff marks on the wall. It's not the best for hitting--it will roll farther than a wiffle ball, but it's probably not going to go beyond the infield. But maybe that's what you're looking for. Whatever the case, it's worth it for children who are just learning how to catch.

They were softer and more pliable when I was a kid. The internal stuff doesn't hold the form well, but it does allow my 2 year olds to toss a ball in the house without too much worry.

Ragballs are perfect for that
I bought this to help teach my young boys to throw and catch. Ragballs are perfect for that. They are heavy enough to throw and to stick in the glove when you catch them (much better than tennis balls, for example), but they are soft enough not to hurt when a youngster takes one in the noggin. They also do better than most balls indoors if you find yourself playing catch in bad weather.

Great Ball.
Great for playing catch and batting practice with my 5 year old. Neither of us gets hurt on impact which is the reason why you buy a rag ball. Good quality product.

Good product
Great product for realistic practice. Simulates a real baseball in hitting drills. Used a lot indoors with early season bad weather.

Exactly what it needs to be.
Good quality. Exactly as advertised. Not much to say... it's a ragball. Great for practicing catch without having to worry about jammed fingers.
