I knew it wouldn't be the best quality, but I at least need to be able to zip up the front door. Zipper broke on the first day and is now unusable. Also the elastic in the tent poles is super flimsy and the poles were covered is some sort of chemically powder. It didn't rain, so I can't attest to water-proofness.If you want a cheap tent to use very gently, this might be the tent for you. If you plan on doing any real camping, I would pass on this. ### ⭐⭐⭐ too cheap to bother. *by K***S on Reviewed in the United States on July 14, 2019* you get what you pay for i guess. tent broke second time using it. My fault for thinking it would be ok for one backpacking trip. It rained and the tiny rain fly and cheap material did keep us dry as long as nothing touched the side of the tent. the bathtub bottom was decent but tore when the tent broke. It was also too short for me and my 6ft husband. Be ok for a couple kiddos tho. ### ⭐⭐ Arrived with cut in side of tent *by D***E on Reviewed in the United States on September 15, 2019* The tent itself is perfect for what I purchased it for, a light backpacking tent with interior room. However, after a short hike in, I set it up and realized it has a 2-3 inch cut in the side of it. I was very irritated by this as we were expecting some rain and clearly this would allow water in. Fortunately, it did not rain so it wasn't an issue. This will clearly be an issue in the future. I put duct tape over it and hope that will solve the issue, but I'm skeptical. I should have to worry about a brand new tent having a cut in it. The box was not damaged so it did not appear to occur during delivery. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/122960927-backpacking-tent-waterproof-lightweight-2-3-person-family-camping-portable](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/122960927-backpacking-tent-waterproof-lightweight-2-3-person-family-camping-portable) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-31*
