Great scanner for DIYer,and home mechanic, worth every penny.
I've been using this Launch CRP123E Android Elite scan tool as a mechanic for various vehicles, and I've never encountered any issues when it comes to reading and resetting codes. It's perfect for do-it-yourself mechanics, offering a wide range of diagnostic tests and highly detailed live data. The ability to graph and compare components, along with the 4in1 live data graphing display, allows for precise analysis. Saving data before and after repairs, along with the auto VIN search, makes vehicle-specific codes easily recognizable. I cannot emphasize enough how great my experience has been with their exceptional customer service. They truly go the extra mile to serve their customers, setting a standard that is hard to match. Purchasing this scanner is a win-win situation—saving money by performing my own repairs while having access to unmatched customer support. I am a LAUCNH customer for life! This crp123e scanner has successfully helped me relearn idle and reset the throttle body, and it worked perfectly. Here are some of the Good of this Launch crp123e scanner : 1.The removable OBDII Diagnostic cord is more than long enough. 2.The touch screen is large and well backlit, making it suitable for sunny conditions. 3.The rechargeable battery lasts over 10 hours on a single charge, allowing for convenient use without being plugged into an OBD2 port all the time. 4.Lifetime WiFi online updates, avoiding the hassle of PC updates like my previous scanner. 5.The ability to export vehicle reports as PDF/CSV and easily email them to myself—this feature is a personal favorite. 6.With functions like oil lamp reset, idle relearn, and SAS calibration, along with these 3 lifetime free reset functions, this tool meets all my daily repair and maintenance needs for my family's vehicles—I am more than satisfied serving my family. 7.The Google browser code search function allows me to directly connect to abundant online DTC code information, eliminating guesswork and facilitating my work. 8.The DTC help/Repair tip functions have also been incredibly useful, providing detailed explanations, probable causes, and troubleshooting guidance for each Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) generated during a scan. 9.It covers over 60 car brands globally, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of vehicles. 10.The device comes with a carrying bag for convenient storage. 11.The customer support is considerate and prompt, address my concerns in a timely manner. Overall, I highly recommend this scan tool for its exceptional performance, extensive features, and outstanding customer support. It has truly exceeded my expectations and made my job much more efficient.

Must be updated to work. Awesome code reader for the DIY mechanic
UPDATE: the unit won't work if you don't do updates. It works fine once you do updates. I am getting various transmission codes. I've researched the forums and YouTube. This allowed me to look at the specific codes (P0843, P0877, P0751, etc) and the components. I was able to look at all my shift solenoids, Pressure switch's, and trans temperature at the same time. It was 15F outside and I was able to see the trans temperature read 80F, and if I cleared the code and shifted it went to limp mode, and then the transmission read -40F. I'm replacing the Pressure Switch assembly (ALLISON TRANSMISSION 29546972 PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY 5-SPEED & 6-SPEED 01-18) and expect the temperature to read correctly. The gauge reads correctly today after clearing the code. I bought this for my Chevy 2500 with a Duramax engine to read a code. Basic code readers were giving me a generic code (P0700) and this was snow to give me more specific detail (shift solenoid 2) as well as the ability to move monitor data. Similar to my CTS Edge scanner it can show balance rates, and SOOOO much more. It was worth the $150 for figuring out my error code so I could research potential solutions (low fluid, frayed wires, bad harness) instead of constantly having a no shift problem. Some say the software stops working in a few months, but after two days of playing with it I'm happy for the one time. It automatically detects your vin. Also, it stores stuff on servers in China (if you couldn't tell by the price) so if you want USA made this isn't it. If you shop at Walmart, Target, or Auto Zone you'll be right at home. This is not a programmer. It won't turn off features you don't like. It could help diagnose a misfire, monitor transmission or engine coolant temps, tell you the flow plug status, etc.

So much cheaper then Snap-on and does it all
This scanner is awesome. It worked great for my ford f350. Live data, abs, can bus, and I could retrieve and read all the codes. To my surprise, the screen is touchscreen and very bright. Also, the case that the scanner is built in to is very rugged. For the price you can’t beat it, especially because it includes updates. Thanks snap on for taking $3000 from me when I could’ve bought this one for substantially less.

no OBDI
This unit looked like it was what I was looking for a tablet style car analyzer. It opened up easily, was almost plug and play after a lot of downloading automotive data. The problems/dislikes I had are a few but important to me. This unit will not connect to OBDI I have a lot of older cars and thats a show stopper. Once you have done the diagnostic you must be connected to the internet to get any description of the codes as they are all in the cloud. My shop is out of wifi range. when I got back within range the link in the report would not open the cloud explanation. so that's no help. I tried to contact the seller on the amazon, about the OBDI question and it appears Launch USA doesnt support this product. Its made overseas and if you want support you need to contact them Too much complexity for my needs so I had to return it. The one scan I did was very good and it identified known problems and cleared the codes nicely. Take the risk if your in a more technological part of the the world.

REPAIR SHOP TOLD ME MY TURBO WAS BAD AND THEY CAME UP WITH ERROR CODES TO REFLECT IT... THEY SAID $4500 TO REPLACE EVERYTHING WITH NO GUARENTEES... I PURCHASED THIS UNIT FROM LAUNCH AND IT QUICKLY INFORMED ME THE O2 SENSORS WERE BAD. TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT TROUBLE CODES - TURBO VS O2 SENSORS... THIS WORKED EXACTLY AS ADVERTISED AND IS MY ONE GO TO TOOL FOR MY FREINDS THAT NEED HELP... THANKS FOR A GREAT PRODUCT THAT IS WORTH THE MONEY AND SOMETHING THAT IS RELIABLE...

Cannot be used for off-the-grid work.
This is a beautiful item. Comes with a very nice fabric case. But is useless off-grid, and creates unacceptable network security vulnerabilities when used on-grid. When first powered-on, device asks for language (page 1) and time zone (page 2). The third page wants a WiFi network ID, a login password, and a valid email address...among other bits of personal info. Trying to skip any page produces a system error, and the system reboots. Our WiFi security uses MAC address filtering and static IP addresses. Item's package/stickers/documents contain no MAC address or serial number info. I assume that MAC address filtering must be disabled to use this device. Documents have no setup info for item's network interface. I assume that the device expects DHCP support (and does not accept a static IP assignment). The item has an internal battery, and is rechargeable. If I forget to turn it off after use, I assume that it will remain online, providing global internet access to our internal WiFi network(s), until the battery dies. I'm sorry to return this item. It looks like it could be very useful. But I cannot have an IOT item that contains important personal + company info, and phones home every time I use it.

Rams need extra $$ to clear codes.
What they don't tell you, or at least I didn't see it, is that you'll need to pay an extra $60 a year for an AutoAuth account to get past the SGW on(at least) Ram vehicles or spend another $25ish on a 12+8 cable to manually bypass the SGW. Not great choices if you're just trying to clear an engine fault code. The reader says it's SGW compatible but doesn't tell you it's extra money and extra work to use the clear code function.

Decent tool but not worth the price for me
I was expecting a bit more from this scanner for the price. It works fine and reads the main systems, but it doesn’t really do much more than a basic £5 Bluetooth OBD reader. I ended up returning it and getting the Thinkcar 689BT instead, which offers a lot more features for slightly more with a discount code. The build quality is good though, and it’s easy to use — just not the best value in my opinion.

Supports almost any vehicles
For most Nissan cars in Japan, it doesn't use regular OBD2. I was able to find the faults in my 2005 Nissan cubic/repair/and clear the codes. It also can connect to WiFi to show youtube video about the error codes. Wifi is a little slow, but that's not the purpose of this machine. It also support pretty much all Japan/Europe vehicles, you just need to download the supporting software of the brand of car first which took like 2 mins. Overall I love it and I don't need to spent over a thousand dollars on the professional o e or kept going to the car shop.

Perfect
Work perfect, quick VIN recognition, a lot of data from different vehicles onboard sensors and computers, real time diagnostic. First time after run the OBD requires a lot of updates so it will take a time. Run updates first than go to work 😁
