Ceramic 2 Inches Flat Iron (Unil)

I am one of the few people on Earth, I guess, who prefers a wide plate on my flat iron. I bought this one mostly because it was one of the only ones available in the 2" plate size; I didn't want to spend this much but I really couldn't find anything else that wasn't TOO cheap so I decided to go for it. I am glad I did because this is a very nice styling tool. It heats up quickly, has adjustable heat settings (although I'm one of those who uses the hottest setting always) and does a nice job smoothing through my hair without pulling or snagging. The surface doesn't get hot so it isn't easy to burn myself, and since I'm fairly clumsy with styling tools this matters! I've had it about a year and have no complaints, and I love love LOVE the larger plate size (for the record, my hair is a longer bob, right my shoulders, and is baby-fine). Nothing bad to say about this flat iron!

This straightener is interesting. Your hair will definitely be unbelievably straight in a very short time. By typical standards, you'll probably find it to be an incredible straightener. However, if you're concerned with the health of your hair, then maybe not so much. This straightener must honestly get significantly hotter than 400 degrees. I've had other straighteners bought from the store that say 400 and they do not seem this hot at all. I think this straightener probably gets hotter than they claim. This can make your hair look very good in the short term, but you will get very severe split ends quickly, and parts of your hair that have to be straightened in small sections, like bangs or baby hair, will get awkwardly short from split ends and breaking off.Right now I am too concerned with the health of my hair, so I am only using it on a medium temperature like 200-300, which definitely gets the job done.Overall, I would recommend this straightener to someone with ethnic and hard to straighten hair. This is perfect for that. For others with more manageable hair, a different straightener might be better to retain the health of your hair. This straightener seemed to be quite damaging to my hair compared to others, so much so that I am not able to use it anywhere near the highest heat setting.

I bought this straightening iron after reading many positive reviews on Amazon. I've had it for 6 weeks. It worked great for the first 2 weeks. Now I'd love to return it but I no longer have the packaging and it's beyond the return time frame. The problem is the iron's two sides don't meet properly, in other words, you can see a strip of daylight when the iron is squeezed shut. This means that the iron is not touching the hair as it passes through. Therefore, the iron is ineffective and works poorly. I have thick curly hair, and even with my thick hair the iron is not touching enough of the hair to work properly. Also, because of the gap, one needs to put larger amounts of hair through, which also makes the iron less effective at straightening the hair. I hate this iron and basically will throw it away and replace it with the one I had for many years (the Chi ceramic 2 inch). It was less money and worked fantastically for approx7 years. The Infrashine iron is a rip off. Stay away!

love love LOVED this straightener then one year later, broke. For something so expensive, not worth it.

Not my favorite flat iron. A friend insisted this was the best iron out there. I don't usually spend this much on irons, but I was struggling with finding something that held up to my Keratin Iron. I can't seem to get this one not to pull or break my hair.

I have A LOT of hair and my hair is very thick. So to get a natural straight look I had to blow dry it and then use the straightener (which took me a looong time). When I tried Infrashine for the first time at my friend's house I LOVED IT! I didn't have to blow dry before using it on my hair and get the result that I wanted. My hair was shiny and silky and not burned or looking like a broom !! My friend had the 1" one (for over 4 years!) and I decided to buy the larger one since I have a lot more hair than her. The first time I used it I wasn't really happy with the result and had a little trouble adjusting with the 2". But as I kept using it more and more I figured it out and now I am REALLY happy and satisfied. It's definitely worth the money!I've tried CHI and some other expensive brand names but none of them compares to Infrashine. It's the best flat iron ever! I always get compliments on my hair and everybody thinks it's naturally straight. I highly recomend this straightner=)

This 2 inch version was recommended by my hairdresser so I bought it. She said the 1 inch could leave creases vs the 2 inch (which costs more). The 1st one I bought (for $200) stopped working in 1.5 years so I bought another (for $133) on Amazon. We'll see how this one holds up. It's a good iron but it didn't hold up. Disclaimer: it came back broken after being in my suitcase on a short flight; however, I have traveled with it before without incident. Am paying the company $40 to have it fixed so will then have two. It's the only flat iron I've owned so I can't compare it to other models.
