NHV Resthyro - Natural Hyperthyroidism Support for Cats, Dogs, Pets, 100ml w/dropper

I was really surprised my gray tabby is doing well on this. It made me really angry that I was taking him to a pet hospital inside of one of the major pet stores (I won't name any names) for a whole year and they kept telling me my cat was losing weight and they racked up literally hundreds of dollars running test after test, but telling me nothing. My cat had a red mark in his eye and they wanted me to take him to an ophthalmologist, which would cost me a couple hundred dollars plus they wanted me to take him to get a liver scan for $400 because they couldn't figure out why his liver enzymes were up. Meanwhile Gemini (my cat) was throwing up everyday and his fur was coming out in clumps. He actually had a bald spot on his back, so I got tired of the chain vet I was taking him to and took him to a cat hospital. They took one look at him and told me it's probably hyperthyroid and that Gemini was "critically thin." They were going to take blood for the thyroid test, but Gemini started panting and the doctor told me he'd waive his $80 fee if I took him to the Vet ER right now. I would have done it anyway, but I took him and again the ER doctor took one look at Gemini and performed a thyroid test and Gem was diagnosed with hyperthyroid and given an RX, but having had severe side effects from prescription drugs I was on, I became worried and wanted to give him something more natural. Long story short, I read all the reviews on Amazon about NHV Resthyro and bought it and began to give it to my cat right away. One month later his fur is no longer falling out and has grown. I can no longer feel his ribs when I pet him. He no longer vomits all the time and the red mark in his eye is gone. I couldn't believe it. Gemini is still thin, but I called the phone number on the box of Resthyro and the representative was very friendly and seemed honestly interested in Gemini's well being. She told me he was thin due to muscle loss and asked me if Gemini would eat human food. He does because he was a stray that we found in 2009. As a stray his meals came from turning over trash cans, so he was pretty used to human food. The representative told me to feed Gemini chicken because the protein would help him to build muscle. I'm so glad I found this product and will continue to give it to Gemini. I have considered suing the chain vet I was taking him to. I cannot believe they took so much money from me and constantly tried to sell me services (i.e. ear cleaning for $17, blood tests for $34, giant pills for $35 to treat his enzyme issue that I felt were way too large for a cat's throat, etc), but couldn't diagnose what I found out is a very common disease for cats. I'm just glad Gemini is doing so much better.

I have a high strung cat. The vet believed he had a thyroid problem, but was unable to tell me because she and her assistant ran from the room after cat threw a snarling and hissing fit when they were going to take him from me to get blood. He was in a hysterical state and his heart was beating so fast that I was afraid he was going to have heart failure. My cat was losing weight even though I had doubled his food intake. I tried this product out of desperation. And I cannot be more pleased. Within a week, my cat had GAINED 3 ounces. He has the energy of a kitten and he likes to play again. He was even calm enough that he got along with my eight year old nephew. I'm so grateful for this product and for the reviews that led me to purchase it. Editing to add: Wanted to update and say that the Resthyro worked for a while but it ultimately stopped working. I have sought traditional medical care for my cat and it is hysteria each time I take him (Well worth it). But, he's responding to the new medication in that he's gaining weight, but the dosage is higher than it might have been if I hadn't waited so long to take him for help.

My cat suddenly became extremely thin & began vomiting on a daily basis last fall. I was told by 2 relatives who have had a few cats that 1 of theirs did the same thing & it was a thyroid problem. So I assumed that's what it was but could not afford the test. I tried another product that helped a little but not much so decided to give this a try. So glad I did. He's put some a little weight back on, even my friends have noticed & the vomiting has gone from at least once a day to a couple times a week. Thank you.

I loved this product at first. My cat was on the conventional medicine for two years for hyperthyroidism and it was making him very sick and ruining his kidneys. He got to the point that he could not tolerate it anymore. When I found this I was skeptical but tried it anyway. It will not work overnight, with all herbal or homeopathic treatments you have to be patient but after about three weeks and increasing the dosage by two drops it was like a miracle in the way he has improved. No more howling, pacing and he is starting to put his weight back on. With a combination of other NHV products and Vitality Science products, Biopreparation, Renavast, better quality cat food I finally thought that I had my sweet cat back. The improvement however was not an improvement at all. Please read my comments I have posted about this below. I had to go back and edit this review. I want other cat owners to be warned.

Cat would not take it, whether mixed in food or given orally. Would run from us. Need to change or hide the taste

This seems to be helping my elderly cat with her thyroid issues. I don't want to subject her to a lot of meds at this stage in her life, she is pushing 21. But she was screaming for food 24/7 and had taken to pulling out her tail fur hairs. Both behaviors have stopped after about a month of use. She stills seems hungry all the time and has an appetite but doesn't scream for food like she was doing just meows politely. I think she may even have gained a pound. So far I am pleased and hopeful she will continue to improve.

I bought this for my 11 year old Manx cat that was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. Even though she's always been a small kitty at 8 pounds, she's always been the biggest eater and recently lost a pound. The vet did some expensive tests and diagnosed her with hyperthyroidism. He suggested surgery to remove the thyroid or radioactive treatment. Both are expensive and I don't want to put her though this so I researched alternatives. I found this product with good reviews and thought I'd give it a try since I'm unable to give her pills. I put a dropper full on her food and she either doesn't notice it or likes the taste. She hasn't gotten to the point of "yowling" all the time and hopefully this will defer that symptom and slow the progression of the disease.
