Caladium, Bulb, Pink, Pack of 10 (Ten), Easy to Grow, Colorful Mix, HOSTA Bulbs

These were good sized "bulbs". There was no instructions but I have grown them before. I soaked them in water overnight and planted them the next day. They take a lot of time to grow. One can start them indoors but I have not had much luck with that. When the temperature suits them (in Zone 5) they shoot up and give you a beautiful showing for the summer.

The order for this did not say it was limited to warm climate!!! I cannot leave to return them so I am just out $24. They do look beautiful in the picture.

Grows in one month

I've planted caladium bulbs before and have never had a problem with them sprouting. Sadly out of the twenty bulbs , less than half have sprouted. Needless to say I am disappointed.

If you want virtually no-maintenance color on a deck or covered porch, without the mess of dropping flowers (I'm looking at you, Impatiens) get Caladiums. Coming in a variety of patterns and colors, they're easy to grow (albeit they can take up to 3 months to sprout....be patient...don't overwater) and provide a lush display wherever they're planted. I ordered these (pictured here) and a single bulb sprouted almost immediately (2 weeks, maybe) and was a lovely shade of pink. The rest of the pot didn't come up until I moved it to a warmer location and took an additional 2+ months. I've grown caladiums for years and wasn't worried. NOTE: Caladiums LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the heat but not the sun. So keep these in the shade at all times or the leaves will burn. I received more bulbs than was indicated so I planted the smallest ones in a different pot. The rest are here and will have to be divided and repotted next year, giving me extra bang for my buck.

I have planted caladiums every spring for years. I bought these, planted them in the usual bed, and waited. They have not sprouted at all. Everything else on my Texas garden has exploded with growth. Don’t buy these.

Beautiful corms
