Works if used right
A lot of mixed reviews on these, purchased for 9mm and 22 cal. I think the trick is need to thread these on to the adapter don't just push them on. Also you can in a way compress them on the jag or stretch a little to get a good fit. I use them with the iosso paste and feel I get a good fit. Able to run it back and forth and stays on the jag. Are these needed? For cleaner and iosso use think yes hold more cleaner and can apply paste on a larger surface area then a patch. For typical cleaning methods patches are fine, but for paste think these work really really well, for this use yes will buy more.

Very loose fitting for 7mm
These felt cleaning pelts are very loose Through a 7 mm Remington mag bore. If you push them down tight, they will puff up a little bit and get the job done, but If they were a little bit bigger and a little more tighter fitting they would do a much better job.

Ingenious product!
These felt pads are perfect for cleaning.22 pistols. Way better than regular cleaning patches. They screw right on to the brass jag and get bore cleaner into the lands and groves when the patch doesn’t expand to the groves

Buy according to you bore size.
Works well for cleaning bores with J&B cleaners.

Stick to VFG brand for cleaning pellets
Wow, the other negative reviews were right, these are pretty terrible. I have a collection of VFG brand pellets that I use exclusively (.223, .308, 9mm, .40, .45) but they're a bit more expensive than these. Apparently, the extra cost is worth it. The VFG pellets are a pleasure to use all the way from threading onto their adapter to being durable enough to hold their shape even with vigorous scrubbing of the barrel.I got these Tiptons for my new 6.5 Grendel build and they deformed and stretched out even as I threaded them onto the VFG adapter (thinking that the nut would help hold the pellet on the adapter.) Not a very tight fit in the bore and within a few passes, the pellet started disintegrating and significant chunks of fibers were being shed. I used about 5 pellets and I even had one literally split in half with scrubbing. At best, these are mediocre for light duty cleaning (like pushing one through from breach to bore) but I'll be picking up VFGs next time I order from Brownells.

They do the job, with a drawback…
They do the job well enough but they leave fibers from the pellet in the bore and they end up in the chamber also.Much prefer the VGL (?) pellets. They’re more compacted and don’t shed fibers.
