34 waist fits like a 33
Early impression after wearing just a few times. Overall a very comfortable pant for travel, yard work, casual wear, etc. It stretches nicely when squatting or sitting. The pockets all work well and are adequately roomy without being floppy or bulky. The fabric is a bit thicker than Lee/Wrangler/Levi denim jeans, but it's still soft and flexible.The velcro-like closures don't hold as strongly as standard hook&loop, since both sides are like hook. Press the closures strongly to ensure a good hold. I'm guessing this design is meant to hold up better over time rather than the soft loop side getting all strung out after frequent use.I normally wear a 33x36 if I can find it. That size wasn't available so I tried the 32x36 and 34x36. The stretch wasn't enough to make the 32 comfortable, but the 34 fit perfectly, so I'd say if in doubt go up an inch. The lengths were good, and they don't ride up the shin when sitting.

Great Pants !
Carhartt is really one of the best clothing companies for quality work/ utility pants , they fit perfect and are durable , can worn for more than just work . They may be a little more expensive than some others ,but well worth the price

Rugged Flex pants are comfortable and durable.
Rugged flex material is flexible and comfortable and well stitched. The design should be durable and easy to clean. I did not go further on testing these pants because what I got was not what was expected. I got carpenter pants instead of cargo pants but since they both are RUGGED FLEX the material and quality should be the same. If it was not for the need for more pockets, I would certainly kept them as they are very good value. Customer service was excellent and they gave me a refund without any problems. I ended up going to ACE hardware (a local Carhartt dealer) and got my cargo pants there. Well satisfied and yes they are comfortable for everyday wear.

Durable and comfortable
Bought these for my boyfriend to wear in the shop working on his truck and so far he loves them and they have lasted the longest out of any other pants he’s tried.

Comfortable but not durable
They're comfortable from being stretchy but not very durable as a result. I get a few months use out of a pair before they start splitting from my frequent crouching at work which is about the same I get from cheap dickies pants

The 2% stretch makes these much more comfortable and feel softer than the 100% cotton.
The phone pocket is a brilliant addition that all pants should have.
